Jackson didn't know what was happening. He remembered the tornado and how he hit his head. He faded in and out of consciousness. While awake he would hear whispers; sometimes he would hear what they said. His body felt light, yet his head and heart felt heavy. Your mission is to protect him. He heard and tried to open his eyes, but to no avail. He blacked out again. The next time he awoke he felt the ground; the grass and dirt soft on his hands. He groaned and tensed his muscles; what little he had anyway. He heard panting from beside him and his eyes shot open. He was ready to crawl away if his body would let him. He stared at the girl next to him for a second before he asked frantically, Where am I and who are you? He shot up; however, his body didnt agree with his actions and he starts to cough violently. It felt like needles piercing his lungs.

The girl looked surprised and said, Hey, hey, calm down. I just saved your life. He glared at her as she glanced at the top of his head. He didnt know what to believe, but he figured that he didnt have a choice. He didnt know what else was going on.

He sighed and glanced around. He saw trees and flowers and a night sky. His eyes widened and he spoke, I know this area he trailed off.

Do you live here? The girl asked as she looked at the beautiful area. Jackson was quiet for a few minutes before coughing.

I dont live here. This is one of my drawings; one that Ive been working on for months. Jackson said still in disbelief. A world I would be able to live in without worry.

A drawing? Sorry to be such a Debbie Downer, but thats about as believable as a dream. The girl said with a sigh.

I dont think this is a dream.

What else would it be? Im in a new world, I was just talked to by a disembodied voice, Im with a guy claiming were in his drawing, and I have powers! Anyone in their right mind would think this is a dream! The girl shouts. She looks like shes about to break down; she doesnt believe what she said herself. This all felt too real to be a dream. Every sight, smell, and touch was as clear as glass.

A twig snapping brought the two to their senses. The bushes rattled and the wind seemed to pick up. The air got thicker; it was so thick that it was hard to breath.

Get behind me. I dont have a good feeling about this. The redhead said. Jackson crawled behind her. He didnt have any support, so he couldnt stand up. It was quiet for a moment. The wind stopped and no one moved. A form stepped out of the foliage. It was dark and seemed to change into something else once someone figured out what it looked like. First a lion, then an elephant, a human, and a bear. It changed appearance faster than a cheetah chasing after its prey. The transformation, although brief, was grotesque; the shape twisting and turing as it screeched in pain.

It stalked toward the girl and Jackson. Inky, black liquid dripping from the underbelly; it killed whatever it touched. The girl glared at the beast before looking behind her. Her confidence falters. Jackson was petrified. He couldnt move or speak. He sat on the ground shaking and staring at the beast until he felt someone pick him up. He looked over as saw the girl running in the opposite direction as the beast. What are you doing? he asked all though he basically knew what was happening.

Im frolicking through a field of flowers, she shouted sarcastically, What do you think Im doing? She growled out. She winced when she finished; she didnt mean to sound so harsh and it was clear she regretted it.

The beast began to run after them. The ground shook and leaves rustled. It wasnt long until it was behind the two. It snapped and clawed at them, letting out a screech as it sped up. It wasnt until something big and green tackled the beast that the two had a chance to get out of sight and hide.
