*Tom's POV*

I wandered about in the house the guys and I had rented. Thinking about what had happened with Olive. Perhaps I should've done more, helped her more. Been comforting. Before I could finish the thought, I heard rummaging coming from my room. She was awake. I knocked on the door and slowly peeked inside, so I wouldn't scare her. Her entire body relaxed when she recognized me, and she sat on the edge of the bed.

"Are you feeling any better?" I sat down beside her and smiled.

"I don't know. I feel numb," she whispered, her voice raspy. "Where am I?" She motioned around the room.

"You're in my room, in a house me and the guys rented," I studied her face as I spoke. She was clearly exhausted, and smudged mascara covered her eyes from crying. Poor Olive. "The others went out to get McDonald's, also for the two of us." I smiled melancholy. She looked sick, yet beautiful. The most beautiful girl I had ever seen, unfortunately I could never let her know. Haz liked her and vice versa.

Without thinking I exclaimed that Freya had gotten what she deserved. Olive looked at the door with a blank expression. Not my finest moment. I should've kept my mouth shut.

"Thanks," I heard her mutter from beside me. I needed to up my game, for sure.

*Olive's POV*

I wasn't hungry. I wasn't okay. I wasn't sick. I was absolutely nothing. Just existing. The only thought in my head was, Why did Tom stay with me? Not A, Halima or Haz? As if he could read my mind, Tom answered, "Haz was the only one sober enough to drive and your friends don't believe that Haz and Sam would be able remember their orders correctly, so they tagged along."

I nodded and stood up to stretch my sleepy body.

"Sorry for disappointing you," he mumbled with a sad expression.

"What, no. I just thought it would've made more sense for Harrison, or one of my friends, to stay with me. That's all. Though I am very grateful you decided to stay with me. Thank you, Tom."

He took my hand and led me downstairs to the kitchen.

"Harrison is very lucky to have caught your eye. You're beautiful, smart and have a great sense of humour," he smiled as his cheeks became slightly tinted.

"Thanks," but why are you telling me this, I wanted to add.

Suddenly his eyes widened, and he started to apologise and made me promise not to tell Haz, as I was his girl.

"Bold of you to assume I belong to anyone," I huffed and sat on a chair next to the kitchen island.
Fumbling with the words, he said, "That's not what I meant. I simply meant that... Well you clearly like each other and I don't want to impose or anything and-".

I cut him off, "I am kidding. Calm down. Though, I am no one's - so far." He smiled and took a deep breath. "But, again, thank you. It was quite sweet of you."

"You're welcome," he stared into my green eyes and my heart fluttered. "Will you help me bake a cake?"

That came out of nowhere. "I beg your pardon?" I furrowed my brows.

Apparently, he had promised the rest of the gang that he'd bake them a cake. So, a cake we baked.

*Tom's POV*

Olive and I put the chocolate cake in the oven and set the timer for 45 minutes. Somehow, we ended up baking chocolate chip cookies as well, which turned out to be scrumptious. I couldn't stop smiling, which constantly made her giggle. God, she was adorable. Had it only been me who'd taken the late flight, not the early one. Oh well, maybe I wasn't not her type anyway. Or was I?

"Olive," she turned her head to look at me, "I was wondering, if you wanted to go on a date with me? If you an Haz don't work out, of course." She seemed surprised. After a minute of silence, she smiled wide, but no answer was given. I hoped it meant yes. Only time would tell.

After the cake and cookies were done, we put them on a tray so they could cool down. The heavenly smell filled the kitchen and I wanted to bathe in the scent. My eyes once again met Olive's. I took a step closer to her and I could feel the tension between us. I saw the way her lips slightly parted as I was standing in front of her. Towering over her, as she was still sitting down. My heart beat faster and my breath became heavy. I felt unfamiliar feelings, but they felt good. Healing.

"We're back!" Haz shouted through the house. The tension vanished as quick as it had appeared. No trace was left behind, and our friends soon joined us in the kitchen.

"Oh, for God's sake, that smells amazing," Sam exclaimed and took a closer look on the baked goods. Haz put the paper bags from McDonald's on the kitchen counter and sat down beside Olive. We ate the food and goods, while talking about everything and anything. As the night flew by, people started disappearing. Astrid and Sammy disappeared outside, probably on the terrasse and I chatted with Olive in the living room all night. Where Haz and Halima were, I had no idea. It didn't really concern me either, considering I was talking to the most beautiful girl in the world. A girl who actually seemed interested in talking to me. Was this what falling in love feels like? Or was it just a crush?

*Olive's POV*

Tom was such a gentleman and I loved talking to him about random stuff. We chatted all night and I felt entertained the entire time, which was rare for someone like me. Something kept bugging me though. I knew where everyone was, except for Halima and Haz. Where on earth were they? It suddenly occurred to me that I was into Tom. I was into Haz as well, wasn't I? My mind was driving me insane. Who was I to even think they were both into me, that I was the one to make the decision.

I excused myself, as I had to go to the bathroom. My sore legs bore me through the living room and to the kitchen. The kitchen where Haz and Halima were sitting. The kitchen where...

What?! I thought to myself.

It seemed like I had audibly gasped because Harrison and Halima finally broke apart and let there be space for Jesus. Had I just witnessed a lot of snogging, grabbing and... moaning?! I believed so. Harrison and I hadn't even been a thing, yet I still felt betrayed.
