I can never be the little red rose,
The one that stays out of all the miserable woes,
The confident buds that sway,
Nonchalantly side to side, in every way,
The one that whispers the music of love,
Enchanting your soul in the sky above,
Who dreamily captures every bit of you,
Diving in under your deep, deep blue
Your Lies and lies, pricks and the pins,
Abrupt and swift, stole all my fins,
But all in all I say,
Keeping my entire life at bay,
Even the glittering stars, far and close,
Shall say that I'm not your red little rose.
