Do I need to change my mentality?
Nearly nineteen but can't stay out late or stay a night with a mate.
Must ask permission,
Seeking petition through omission.
Don't want it to be like a big mission.
I want to see the real world,
Compared to my imaginary world.
Hear the sweet melody feel free.
Should I ask?
Do I need to unmask?
I wish you could see,
I just want to be free.
Like the birds above and the animals that run free.
Instead of in a cage kept away,
To make sure I don't stray.
Is this for me or you?
