Just to let all my dedicated readers know, my alter-ego R. M. Baxter has traditionally published his first book.
Legacy of Ages: Book One: The Way to Ejept.
A compelling story of a young Archaeologist just starting his career when he stumbles upon his Grandfathers secret to finding hidden chambers throughout Egypt. He struggles to understand it till his physics major girlfriend enables him to figure it all out.
Back cover.
The sun was streaming through the window of the attic highlighting the small dust particles as they floated to the floor. Ron climbed the last couple of steps to his grandfather's sanctuary. He looked around the almost hallowed space before reaching the top. The entire attic was an open work space of the house on the cliff that was built in the mid-1800s, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean of Eastern North America. The look of the attic and the memory of his grandfather came rushing back to him. Ron had no idea what would transpire over the next few weeks as he uncovered his grandfather's secrets. Secrets that led to ancient mysteries and the hall of knowledge buried in Egypt thousands of years ago to preserve it for the time when it would be needed.
That time is now.
This book can be found on all major worldwide platforms.
I trust that you will enjoyreading it as much as I have in writing it.
Alice awakens in a sun filled room on top of a bed as soft as the feathers of a baby duckling. The sun is shining directly on her body, and she is so warm and comfortable she does not want to move. She sees movement out of the corner of her eye, as she slowly lifts her head, she sees two female servants standing by the end of her bed.
"Where am I?" Alice asks the servants.
The slightly taller one says, "You are in the rooms assigned to you. Through that door is your sitting room, and through the other door is your powder room. Did I call it the right name?" she asks Alice.
"Yes, that will do. Why are you here?" she asks.
"We are not supposed to be here; this is a third level area. The shower in your powder room has a panel for maintenance which connects to a shower in the servant's quarters. The magnetic pulling is shut off in the rooms, it is just the halls that have the third pulling. Please do not tell the Red Queen. She will punish us mercilessly, and she is very creative.
She shakes her head. "I must ask you again why you are here."
"We had to come and see you because we noticed how the male servants react to you, and we want to learn how it is done so we can do it too. Our purpose is to make the males full."
"Make the males full?" asks Alice, a little shocked.
"Yes, the sacks that hang. They have to be kept full."
Alice ponders this for a moment, wondering about the old man on the road, and the ponies, the drink in the throne room, and as she thinks about it, even the food and drink at the trolls table. Alice looks to them. "First things first. What are your names?"
The servants look at each other blankly. "What do you mean?" says the shorter one.
Alice thinks about it. "How do they summon you, what do they call out."
They look at each other, the tall one says, "by our code number."
"Ok, it is a little strange, but your code number then."
They both jump up on the bed, and facing away from Alice, bend down and hold onto their ankles. "This is how we present ourselves to the handlers."
