"I'd be pacing if you weren't in here," was the only thing El could say. Peter sat down on the bed next to her feet, and rested his crutches on the floor.

"I know," Peter sighed. "They didn't know," He said, referencing the adults downstairs.

"I know. But still." El mumbled. "I thought you guys would've told us if you heard our conversation earlier," She sighed. "I never want to show my face again." She put her face back in the pillow. Peter laughed quietly.

"I don't think they're gonna rub it in your face,"

"I guess. They're okay people."

" 'Okay people'?" Peter laughed. "Just okay? Does that include me?"

"They're really great people, okay?"

"Okay, El." Peter laughed.

"Okay," El sighed. "I really didn't want you to hear what I said,"

"I know you didn't. I don't mind though." Peter smiled even though she couldn't see him.

"I do. I mean, it's probably my fault for saying it in the kitchen, of all places." El sighed.

"Well, yeah." He nodded his head in agreement.

"I was very caught up in the moment."

"I know," Peter laughed slightly before they sat in silence.

"Peter?" El said, breaking the silence.

"Yeah, El?"

"I realized something today."

"Okay?" Peter laughed.

"We've been so busy with everything; HYDRA, missions, training, and so much other stuff, that we don't know each other."

"We do,"

"Well, yeah. We do. The small parts like the fact that you live with your Aunt, your parents died, my parents died, but like, not the deep stuff. And you don't know anything about the girls. And we don't know anything about Wanda and Pietro."

"I guess you're right." He nodded.

"I think we should just go on the roof one night and just talk. Tell stories and the deep stuff and play truth or dare and just be teenagers."

"The roof?" Peter laughed gently.

"I don't know... There's a good view of the city. It's a good place to think. I go there all the time."

"We'll ask the others in the morning." Peter smiled, looking over at the digital clock El had in her room.

"Are you better now?" He asked.

"Mmhmm," El mumbled.

"Good. Then I should go. It's getting late and I'm pretty tired." Peter sighed and yawned, beginning to stand up. "Walking on these crutches is exhausting."

"Do you have to?" she mumbled. Peter smiled over at her. "I mean, if you don't want to stay you don't have you. But I figured we could watch Star Wars or something?"

"Sure, El." He sat back down and pressed his back against the wall. El sat up, still not making eye contact with him, and rested her head on his shoulder. El cued up the movie and the Star Wars theme song began playing. Halfway through the movie, both of them had dozed off and had fallen asleep.

"El, I wanted to say that I'm-" Tony started, walking into the room an hour later to see Peter and El fast asleep. He slowly backed out of the room. He walked to the elevator and back down to the living room, where everyone was still sitting.
