"Hailey, come on. It's been ten minutes." Steve said. Bucky shot him a look.
"Are the others gone?" Hailey asked.
"Yes." Steve nodded.
"Tell me what you remember. About Kathryn - about me." Hailey said, pulling away from Bucky and turning to Steve.
"You were really close with Peggy Carter. She trained you into a mini her. Katie was the strongest person I knew. After our parents died, she stayed strong and helped fight in the war-"
"Hailey! I just wanted to make sure you were okay. You didn't look so great when everyone left." Pietro exclaimed, speeding into the room and cutting off Steve.
"Yeah. I -um - I'm fine." Hailey smiled up at him since he was a bit taller than her.
"Okay. I've gotta go. Wanda is sending me her mind messages. I think she lost something. Probably her remote." He laughed before turning into a blur and leaving the room.
Hearing what Steve had to say about her was already overwhelming. She had a best friend she didn't even remember?
"I'm going to go talk to the others." She sighed, leaving the room. She stopped just outside the room, leaning against the wall for support as a memory came into her mind.
"Bucky!" Someone screamed.
"What do you want?" He laughed.
"Guess what?" Hailey asked, running into the room. She couldn't have been older than thirteen. Her freckles were still present and her dirty blonde hair was in two french braids.
"What?" Bucky asked. He was around sixteen and had short hair, unlike his current hair.
"Tomorrow's your birthday!" She beamed.
"Is it? I completely forgot." Bucky laughed. Hailey ran up to him and hugged him. "You're my favorite sister." He laughed, squeezing her tighter.
"I'm your ONLY sister!" Hailey laughed.
--
Hailey walked directly into her room and sat down at her desk, spinning around to face the TV on her right wall.
"JARVIS, can you get me all the information and photos you can find of Kathryn and Bucky Barnes? And Steve Rogers, Peggy Carter, and Howard Stark."
"I'm on it," JARVIS said. Within ten minutes, Hailey had a hundred photos of her, Bucky, Steve, Peggy, and Howard. She began taping them to the wall, along with post it notes that had a bunch of information on it about the war, her life, and other things about her. She made a web like collage that covered her walls.
The photos contained her and Bucky when they were younger, in training, during the war, and both of them at a HYDRA base. She stared at them all, going from picture to picture, fact to fact, and wall to wall. She did this for two hours until she was finally fed up.
"UGH!" She screamed. "I don't remember!"
"I do," Bucky sighed, walking into the room. "What on Earth did you do to your room?"
"I tried to remember. I really did. But I just can't!"
"It's only been a day."
"I want to remember so bad,"
"And you will. Just give it time. I'll help you. Everyone will." Bucky smiled.
"I thought you didn't remember?"
"Well, I do now."
"Tell me things. The things that the internet or the databases can't tell me."
