After Victor told me that Dylan was the one that needed his help shock went through every fiber of my body. Dylan...? Was he Alpha already? He couldn't even be out of high school yet. I left in September, that's when school started. Yeah, they should almost be finished with their senior year now. But what Victor told me was making me worry. They were being attacked... By what? And why should I give a flying fuck!? They can care less about me and how I've been or where I was. I bet they thought I was dead and didn't even care. Yeah, that wouldn't surprise me.
Well, today was the day Victor, and I would be leaving to go back to the motherland of all my misery. Victor told Dylan he was going to bring a few extra people. I was walking done the hall and opened up Vic's office door.
"Hey, Vic-" I realized that I had walked in with him talking on the phone again. Damn! That's like the fucking third time today! I rolled my eyes discreetly.
He shushed me. Dylan wasn't that fucking important. "Hold on a minute, Dylan." He put his hand over the phone. "What?"
"The cars are ready," I said plainly. It broke my heart to have Vic talking to my mate more than I ever did in my life. Was I getting jealous? That bastard didn't even want me! But like always whenever Vic was busy, which means he was oblivious to my feelings.
"Alright, I'll be there in a moment." I nodded and made my way to leave when he called me back.
"Yeah?"
"Can you go get Alvin. I need him to come with us as well."
I nodded again and made my way out of the office. I wonder if Dylan even knew I was here... It would prove him right! He'd know what he left out on! I stopped walking, the sudden realization of how much of an idiot I was just hit me in the face. I'm such a dumb ass! A plan was quickly forming in my head. I grinned, maybe this was going to be an exciting trip.
I grinned as I made my way to Alvin's room, knocking on the door. Alvin opened it, looking upset. I wonder what was wrong with him now. You see, Alvin is the pack strongest male warrior; tall, standing at six foot and six inches, broad shoulders, a set jaw, tanned skin and muscle everywhere. He was hot, but in my opinion, nothing compared to Victor.
"Alpha wants you to get ready and come with us." I used the word Alpha around Alvin only because he likes to get all sensitive when it comes to Victor. Alongside that was the whole top rank warrior thing that we shared. Alvin wasn't a bad guy, he was cool even, but when it came down to business play time was over. Alvin was also seven years older than me, so he saw me more of a little sister than anything else. Just like how I saw him as a brother.
"OK. What time does the Alpha want to leave?"
"Well, he's on the phone with... Alpha Dylan... so he's probably going to be ready to leave in the next twenty minutes or so." He nodded. "And the drive there shouldn't take any more than a few hours... So..."
He nodded again, understandingly. The irritation I saw from earlier was completely gone from his features. He was the only person that knew about my whole rejection thing, and he promised to keep it a secret until I told Victor the truth. You could say that he was my friend; maybe even my best friend. That thought made me think of Je'Anna. Oh man, I missed my home girl so much it hurt.
