Sam came from out back where he had been working on a garden he grew.It had been a dream of his, that one day he would marry someone, settle down with his spouse, in a moderate house (not overlyluxurious just nice) with the whole two-point-five kids and a dog.The one thing he wanted that wasn't part of an 'apple pie life' orwas more just not something everyone did. It was a vegtable gardenthat he would have vegetables, a handful of fruit and even herbs.

Gabriel was more then happy to help his mate, especially since he hadspent so many centuries acting as a pagan deity he always lovedgardening. Which was always something the two of them loved doing.Sam's eyes widened as he looked from the cage to the hairless guineapig resting against Castiel's chest. It was hairless and was gray, making it look like a miniature hippo.

"A...guinea pig?" Sam questioned and Dean looked up groaning, hehadn't told Sam or Gabriel about his plans, but really why would hebother? He can handle paying to care for her and he knew that Castielwould know how to care for the cavy and then some.

"Her name is Grace." Castiel said happily stroking her face. Sheseemed more then done with being cuddled and instead moved so herbutt was against his face. "She seems to want he-"

"Just put her in the cage so she can get used to her new home Cas."Dean answered and Castiel frowned but nodded doing as Dean told himto.

"You...do know that guinea pigs can die from loneliness?" Sampointed out and Castiel froze.

"Die?" He questioned and Dean groaned.

"I know Sam, but as long as she gets to be around people every dayshe'll be fine." Dean assured and Gabriel shrugged but lookedthoughtful, "what?"

"Well you know, in Switzerland its illegal to own only one piggy."Gabriel chuckled and Dean rolled his eyes.

"In case you've missed it, we're not in Switzerland." Deanpointed out, "plus the shelter would have told me if there wassomething like this." Dean pointed out but his only answer was thearchangel shrugging.

"Won't hurt to have a second one just in case we get pulled into anextra long case, or one too far away. We might be pretty close to thedead center of America but it doesn't mean that it won't be a longdrive to get to Washington or Florida or Rhode Island or anywhereelse." Gabriel pointed out and Dean sighed as now he couldn'trefuse.

Besides Gabriel did have a point and maybe Castiel will enjoy pickingon out. "Yeah, well then come on Cas. Say goodbye to Grace we'll goget her a sister."

"Sister?" Castiel asked and Dean frowned and then sighed lookingat Castiel's slight head tilt.

"Yeah well dude guinea pigs need th-" he then sighed and hisshoulders slumped and he forced a smile, "okay, brother or sister."Dean agreed and Sam couldn't help but smile at how sweet it was tohim. Dean was giving up what he didn't want to do, he knew somethingabout needing to clean a gland only male cavy have. Something onceDean would do for only him, and he was glad to see Dean so open tosomeone else. It was nice, he always feared that his older brother, who was like a brother, father, and mother all at the same time.

He had taken so long putting his everything to protecting Sam, doingeverything in his power for him. Missing school so he could hustleand take odd jobs so Sam had clothing and supplies for school, hewent to bed hungry so Sam could go with a full belly (he was ashamedto think how long it took him to realize that), he had been messed upby their dad where he didn't believe he was worth anything. Hisentire being was to take care of someone, everyone.

He was beyond grateful that Castiel could take care of Dean. Thatwhile his big brother would never be able to take being cared for allof the time that Castiel would at least most of it. And bestof all? Dean would let him.

He loved his brother with everything he had, every part of him, andhe loved Gabriel just as much, but different. So very differently.Gabriel was just like Castiel just the opposite side, he neededsomeone to care for him and Sam needed the responsibility, theability to give care and adoration to someone special.

"We should go to Samshine." Gabriel cooed wrapping his armsaround one of Sam's. "I know that you've been wanting a dog foryour whole life basically!" Gabriel pretended to not notice thatDean flinched, a small part of him, still a little eight or nine yearinside him, who always hated no matter how much he wanted he couldnever give Sammy a puppy.

"Cassie gets the pet he always wanted so much, you can to." Hegrinned leaning up, tugging Sam down to his height so that he couldpress his lips against the side of his mouth. It relaxed Dean still, knowing that he could give the pet that had always wanted and relaxedpushing his finger into the 'not-wire-bottomed' cage as apparently awire floor could cause Bumble Foot. Whatever that was.

"Road trip!" Gabriel giggled tugging Sam behind him.

"Dude its just on the other side of town!" Dean called but frozeas he heard the jangle of someone grabbing baby's keys. "Oh hellno! Come on Cas!" He grabbed Castiel's wrist tugging him runningfast. Despite himself he was grinning as Gabriel laughed and Sam wassmiling seeing his mate and Castiel had a sweet smile seeing Deansmiling as well.

Reaching out with his grace he made sure that Grace was fine beforehe slipped out of the room following his mate.
