Spyro, now a fully grown, adult, male dragon, sat cliffside in Avalar, watching the clouds roll by. Life was good for Spyro. Since the defeat of Malefor, things had been easier. Even after the death of Ignitus, Spyro feels as peace with himself and close to Ignitus in spirit. Spyro was searching for Cynder somewhere in the sky. Ember creeped up behind Spyro, barely having the chance to hiss, "Hello, Spyro..." before Spyro found Cynder who was now making her landing to the grass. "Cynder!" He rejoiced, then hugged and nuzzled his mate.
"Cynder... At least we meet." Ember slithered between them.
Spyro was confused. "I'm terribly sorry but... Do we know you?"
Ember was offended by the fact that her crush did not remember her. But she explained to him, "You don't remember me? The dark gem? The proposal? Perhaps you remember running away after you saw my face?!"
Suddenly, Spyro could remember clearly who she was... "Ember? W-what happened to you?"
Cynder backed away from Ember. "You know her, Spyro?"
"W-well I..." He tried to begin. "...I used to. I... I don't think I do anymore."
Ember roared. "Of course you don't! No one does anymore!"
Spyro shielded his mate and said to her, "C'mon Cynder. It's better if we leave." And they flew off together, leaving Ember behind.
