Ember was conferencing with three of her groupie dragonflies. She said to them, "Find the black dragoness and poison here. Drop this crystal into the silver river so when she drinks from it, and anyone else who does, they will die." She held up a dark gem with a green light swirling around it.
"Yes, Ember." The dragonflies replied.
The dragonflies took off with the gem and obeying orders, dropping the gem into the silver river. They retreated, and the silver river became a sickly green color. When Cynder and Spyro came to the river, they took notice of it's color. Cynder said to her mate, "Spyro, do you think something is wrong with the water?"
Spyro took this into consideration. "We should tell the guardians about this." And they both went to the temple to do so.
