The stable was a lot quieter than the fields around it. More mal-horses dotted the plains like the plague, but seemed to pay Link and Fi no mind. After looking closer, Link realized they were ignoring him because theybwere already feasting on a corpse. Shuddering, Link led the horse he had saved and Fi over to the Wetland Stable.

It was beginning to rain now, and Link was getting cold without his tunic or hood. Fi seemed to pay no mind to the chill in the air, which caused Link to snort.

"Did any of the other heros have to deal with the cold?"

Fi nodded. "One of them had to explore a cold mountain top."

"And how did that work out?"

Fi looked into the nearby woods, spotting the glowing blue eyes from the shadows. She stared blankly for a moment, before replying.

"My memories are faint. I do not remember specific details aside from simple locations and a few moments."

Link huffed, and trudged on to the stable. As he walked, Fi couldn't help but smile.

"One last question. When the sword was flickering... was that you trying to gain my attention?"

Fi nodded once more. "Yes."

Deciding not to press her any further, Link approached the stable. It seemed that everyone had retreated inside once it started raining. Which Link didn't blame them for. But first, he wanted to register this new horse as his own.

"How did you manage to catch that?! All the horses turned to monsters and broke out of the stable!"

Link blinked. "She was being attacked. Can you just register her?"

The stable master returned sheepishly to his paperwork and nodded. The registration went smoothly, up until the point where Link had to name the horse. Out of ideas, Link glanced to Fi as if to ask for a name.

"Epona." She had stated without a single bit of hesitation, which somewhat startled Link. But the horse had nudged Link forward, bringing him to the conclusion that she agreed.

"Alright, Epona it is. Where'd that name come from?"

"It was the name of both horses that accompanied two of the heros. She looks exactly like them." Her expression remained blank, and Fi looked up to the horse and lifted her arm to oet it's snout. Link turned around and decided to rent two beds and led Fi inside.

Link was greeted by pure chaos inside the stable.

"Did you see the horses?! They chewed through the stable wood like it was just a carrot!"

"It's not just the horses...it's the wild too! Didn't you see that deer attack the traveler down on the bridge?"

"The world is coming to an end! The animals have turned against us, the castle is in the sky, and the hero is dead!"

Dead?

That caused Link to pause. How did they come to the conclusion that he was dead? It was then that Link's eyes widened at sudden realization. The castle sanctum had fallen on him, and no normal person could've survived that. The Champions probably went searching for him under all the rubble, found nothing, and proclaimed him dead!

Uncomfortable, Link decided to approach the stable master and ask if he had any spare clothing, to which he replied with giving Link a hylian hood. Almost exactly like the one he had before. Although still shirtless, Link decided to pull the hood over his head and approach the two men freaking out.

"Excuse me. What were you saying about the horses?"

The two old men turned to face Link, their eyes still wide from shock. "Please, young man! You must help us. The horses of the stable have gone buck wild and destroyed their stalls, and started rampaging through the fields, attacking anything that moved! We can't leave the stable!"
