While the others were cleaning up the clearing, Mikey and Ray sneaked over to Dallon, who was sitting in a corner, staring at the ground between his legs without any expression. "Hey", Ray carefully said and sat down next to him. Mikey waited a few feet away, standing still awkwardly and letting Ray do the talking. He was a little oberwhelmed by that situation and Ray obviously wasn't doing this for the first time. "You....you just saw that too, right?", Dallon asked with a voice that made it obvious that he didn't want an answer. Instead, Ray simply hugged Dallon. "I'm so sorry, Dal. Really, believe me.". The tall boy didn't answer. He just started crying. While Ray was trying to comfort Dallon, Mikey sat down next to the two of them. He still didn't really know what to do. "Nobody loves me and no one ever will!", Dallon sobbed and Ray hugged him tighter. "Don't say that. Listen, dude, they are both drunk. Maybe they won't even remember that they kissed and it probably didn't mean anything anyway!". Mikey frowned. "But Ray, you said it yourself: alcohol works like a truth serum...maybe Brendon was just too scared to kiss Ryan while he was sober...", he said carefully. Dallon started to sob harder and Ray gave Mikey an angry look. "You're really not helping, you know.", he said and then focussed on trying to calm down Dallon again. Even though Mikey could see, that this probably wasn't a good idea, he said: "Dallon, if it meant something, you should probably, you know, let go of Brendon and, like, find someone else.". While Ray opened his mouth to yell at Mikey again, Dallon stopped crying and stared onto the floor again. "You're right...", he whispered, so quietly, that none of the others heard him. And while Ray was arguing with Mikey about Mikey being a "heartless dick", as Ray called it, a plan began to form in Dallon's head.
Everyone was asleep and in their tents. Everyone, but Dallon. When he was sure that Ryan and Brendon, who were in the tent next to his, were finally asleep, he crawled out of his sleeping bag and quietly got out of the tent. It wasn't too late and even from this place, he could hear the music coming from the little restaurant at the visitor's center. He had seen it at their arrival. It was a little restaurant, that also had a bar, and the campers met there to have a nice evening together. This was where he was heading now, hoping to find someone to talk to and to become his new friend- and maybe even more.

Standing in front of the restaurant, Dallon began to question his decision. There were a lot of strangers in the bar and talking to strangers wasn't really Dallon's best disciplin. He took a deep breath and walked straight into the crowded room. Noticing that none of the other guests had noticed him, Dallon sighed in relief. He carefully looked around the room, when suddenly, his attention was drawn to a sudden speck of color. A person was sitting on a table in one of the back corners, thier head was  lying on the table and Dallon couldn't see teir face. The reason why this person was kind of an eye catcher was their hair: it was dyed turquois. With growing interest, Dallon walked over to the person and sat down in front of them on the other side of the table. Apparently, they were sleeping and nobody seemed to be around who was with them. For three whole minutes, Dallon was just sitting there, staring at the stranger and keeping his mouth shut, then, he gathered his courage and carefully poked the stranger's arm on which their head was lying. The person moved a littl bit, but they were still sleeping, so Dallon tried again. This time it worked. The stranger sat up really quickly and looked around haistily, their eyes wide in terror. Now, Dallon could see that it was a boy, and he seemed to be around his age as well. As Dallon realized how freaked out the boy was, he started apologizing instantly. "Hey, I didn't mean to scare you like that. I didn't know you were really sleeping...Sorry again.". The boy took a deep breath. "What the hell...", he murmured, then he looked up at Dallon't face. "Who are you, anyway?", he asked, a little calmer now. Dallon blushed a he saw how strange the situation was. He hadn't even introduced himself! "Oh, I'm so sorry...", he said with an awkward little smile, "I'm Dallon. I forgot. Sorry!". The boy cracked a little smile. "Could you maybe stop apologizing? You scared me, all right, but it's okay, really.". "Oh, and I'm Ryan, by the way.", he then added. "Hey...", Dallon said and awkwardly waved his hand at Ryan. There was a moment of uncomfortable silence, then, Ryan asked: "So...why did you wake me up? Why are you even here? I've never seen you before.". Dallon blushed again. He had only thought about how find someone and start a conversation, but not how he would try to keep this conversation alive and how to explain to them why he was here. For a second, he was desperately searching for a reasonable answer, then, before he could do anything aginst it, the truth just burst out of him. "I-I needed someone to talk to. Things aren't that easy for me right now, the guy I'm in love with rejected me and now I'm lonely. I thought, since I'm too awkward to talk about that to any of my friends who might tell my crush about it, I'd have to find someone who I don't know at all to get their view on all of this without knowing my crush.". While saying all this, Dallon had been looking at the table. When he looked up after finishing, Ryan was sitting there, his mouth was opened a little bit and he was staring at Dallon in disbelief. "Incredible", he whispered. "What?!", Dallon asked hysterically as he realized what he had just told this total stranger in the restaurant of a random camping park. "It's just...", Ryan answered when he realized that Dallon had asked him something, "I've never had anyone be this honest with me. I normally just get the lies, but you...maybe you're different.". Dallon blushed for the third time, but this time because he was surprised by Ryan's words- in a good way. "So, maybe it was good after all that I came looking for a stranger to talk to, huh?", he said and smiled at the other boy. This time he could see Ryan blush as well and something inside of him got super excited about it.
