When Mikey woke up, he felt half dead. The night had been horrible. First, Mikey had asked his brother to share a tent with him, because Mikey didn't really know Frank that well and didn't want to sleep in a tent with Ray because he was lowkey scared of him. Gerard had made an amazingly big deal out of it and had yelled at Mikey and embarrassed him in front of everyone. Mikey still didn't quite get why Gerard had lost it like that, he believed that it was because his brother really wanted to share a tent with Frank and didn't want Mikey to seperate them. So, Mikey had given in and agreed to sleep next to Ray. But when he had carefully glanced over at Ray and had seen him looking around with narrowed eyes and then writing something into a mysterious little book, Mikey had known: no way.
He had then quietly left the clearing and run to the only other person he felt like he had some kind of emotional realtionship with: Pete. Pete was sleeping on a campground with Tyler, Josh and Patrick, his tent he shared with Patrick. When Mikey had arrived there, they had already been about to go to sleep. Somehow, Mikey had brought up the amount of courage and also despair to honestly beg Pete to let him sleep there. Patrick had then yelled at Pete in front of Mikey, urging him to not let Mikey stay because he hated him and didn't want him to ruin whatever was between Patrick and Pete. The situation had been really uncomfortable for both Pete and Mikey, and in the end, Pete had convinced Patrick that it was only for one night and that he was simply helping a person in need if he let Mikey stay. So, they had somehow forced all three of themselvess into the tiny tent. Then, after they had somehow managed to fall asleep, they got woken up again in the middle of the night by Tyler. "Josh snores", had been all he said to explain himself. Pete had quickly and gladly left the stuffed tent, saying that he knew how to shut up snoring people, then Patrick had freaked out and refused to stay in a tent with Mikey alone. He had then stormed off to spend the rest of the night with Ray. For an awkward moment, Mikey and Tyler had stood there in silence, then Tyler had just layed down next to Mikey and had wished him a good night. When Mikey had fallen asleep again, it had been way past 2 am.
Now, he was tired as hell, his eyeballs were all itchy and he felt like his head weighed a ton. "Fuck...", he whispered to himself. He heard the rustling of a sleeping bag next to him, then Tyler's voice asked:"What's wrong? Are you okay?". Mikey nodded. "Yeah, I'm okay, I'm just...really, really tired...I've barely slept last night.".It was quiet for a moment. "I heard what Patrick said about you...", he then said. Mikey just snorted bitterly. "Wasn't really nice of him, and it's not really like him to be so mean to people, you know", Tyler added. Mikey sighed, "I guess he just has something against me. Now that I think about it, it has been like that since the beginning.", he said. Tyler shook his head. "No, I don't think that's it. I think he has something against the way Pete looks at you. He's a really jealous person.". Mikey immediatly blushed and looked away. "R-really? You think?",he stammered, surprised about his own extreme reaction. Tyler laughed a little. "It seems to me like Patrick's fear isn't quite unjustified, huh?", he giggled. Mikey hit him with his cushion, which made the other boy giggle even more.

For Ryan and Brendon, the night hadn't been too pleasant either. After they had found out about the kiss from the others, things between them hadn't been exactly easy. They had gone to bed without talking at all for the rest of the evening and now, it was just awkward as hell. Finally, Ryan said something. "Did you mean it?", he asked carefully and without looking at Brendon. Brendon panicked for a second. Of course he had meant it, he had been in love with Ryan for, well, it felt like forever, but he had never brought up the courage to tell him. But the last evening, he had been drunk and all of a sudden, everything had just felt so easy. For a second, Brendon's body had been full of butterflies tickling his insides, but also fireworks, burning everything inside. That feeling was the last thing he really remembered of the kiss, the rest had only started to come back to him after his friends had told him about it. The memory was still blurry and he doubted that it would ever fully return. Then, he remembered that he still owed Ryan an answer and started sweating. What the hell was he supposed to say? How on earth could he ever explain to Ryan what he had just thought about? He knew that he had to tell him everything, but he knew that he couldn't bare to see Ryan's face while hearing it. This was just the thing with love confessions. If you confess to someone who loves you back, it gets very romantic, but it's a massive relief, but if that someone doesn't love you back, they will change the way they look at you forever. They will think about the creepy things you probably imagined the two of you doing or whether you had been stalking them or that you would take anything they say to you now as an invitation to rape them or do other creepy sex things to them. Finally, they will end up not talking to you any more and shut you out comoletely. Brendon knew that. There was no way he could stand to lose Ryan! So instead of answering, he just broke out into tears. "I-I'm so sorry, R-Ryan, I s-swear I-". Yeah, what was he swearing? He couldn't hold back any more. Maybe, he thought, if he sees that I'm crying, he will see that I'm completely upset and sorry and then maybe he'll feel sorry for me and-."I meant it! I'm so sorry if you don't feel the same way about me, but Ryan, I-I really, really love you!" he yelled. When he realized, that he had said that out loud, he almost fainted. Brendon looked over at Ryan's face who had his mouth wide open and his eyes wide in surprise. Ryan realized that Brendon was staring at him and quickly closed his mouth. He blushed and stared down at his feet. Brendon buried his face in his hands. He didn't want to, no, he simply couldn't see Ryans reaction. Under his hands, he started crying again. There was a good chance that he had just ruined his friendship and all possibilities to ever become Ryan's boyfriend. Suddenly, he heard Ryan say something. "I...I guess I asked for it..." he
said slowly. Then: "I'm sorry.". Brendon heard Ryan get up and leave. His footsteps turned into running and got more and more quiet until they finally fully dissappeared. Brendon broke down.
