The New Girl || Derek Morgan

Chapter Sixteen

I woke up, with the bed once again empty. But at least i know he got at least some sleep, cause I remember him going to bed. I was once again only in my bra and underwear, so i grabbed his white shirt and slipped it on over the top of me, and i started heading downstairs.

"Derek?" I called out. He had to be here somewhere, because his car was still outside.

"Out here!" I heard him yell from out the front.

I walked outside, the cold air hitting my half naked body. He was just wearing a white singlet and tracksuit pants. I walked up behind him and wrapped my arms around his stomach. He turned around and kissed me.

"God, aren't you cold?" He asked, wrapping his arms around me.

"No" replied, giving him a small kiss. "What are you doing?" I asked, looking at the piece of wood he was carving.

"Just a little project, thats gonna go in the house when it's done." He replied.

"Okay, I'm gonna make a coffee, want one?" I asked.

"Sure" he said, following me inside.

Once i walked inside, we walked straight to the kitchen, and i reached into the top cupboard, grabbing out two mugs. I put them both under the coffee machine, and turned around, to see Derek holding a little.......PUPPY!!!

"Oh my god. ITS A PUPPY!" I squealed, as i ran over and took the little puppy in my arms. It was a little Yorkie, it was so cute!

"You like it?" Derek asked as he grabbed the coffee. I just sat up on the counter, and continued to cuddle the puppy.

"YES! Where did you get him?" I asked excitedly.

"Garcia gave him to me this morning, as a house warming gift" he replied, passing me my coffee.

"Whats his name?" I asked.

"Lucky. And he's already trained" Derek replied.

"Aww, my little Lucky" i said as i cuddled him more. "Wait...so he's my little baby?" I asked.

"Haha, yeah your little baby" Derek laughed.

Later on, i put Lucky down, and got changed into my purple crop top and shorts. I went and sat down on the couch with Derek, and i had to bring something up about the ring, i had to.

"So....last night" i said.

"Oh, yeah..." He replied quietly.

"What was that ring?" I asked.

"An engagement ring" he replied.

"For me?" I asked nervously.

"Yeah..." He replied quietly.

"When were you going to ask me?" I asked.

"Pretty soon" he replied flatly.

"Oh..." Was all i said. "Im sorry" i said.

"For what?" He asked, looking at me.

"Ruining it...." I said as tears builded in my eyes.

"Its okay baby..." He said as he put a hand on my cheek.

And i just kissed him, passionately, like the day we got back together. But i do want to marry him, if that meant we would always be with each other. Then of course i would marry him.

"Ask me" i said.

"Ask you what?" He asked.

"To marry you." I said, and he looked up at me, smiling. He took the box out of his pocket, and got down on one knee, while i remained on the couch.

He took my hand in his, and opened up the box, it revealed a beautiful diamond ring with a gold band. On little parts of it, it had little words like, 'love' and 'hope' around it, it also had on the inside, 'Derek and Alexis'. And it was so beautiful, i wanted to cry.

"Alexis Leah Jay, i love you, with all of my heart, and I don't know if I could live without you, and i want you to be mine, to hold and cherish, to love for the rest of my life. Will you marry me?" He asked, and in the middle, i started crying.

"Yes, of course i will" i cried, as i wrapped my arms around his neck. He took my hand and put the ring on my finger. And then i hugged him some more. And I don't want to get into too much detail, but the rest of that day with him, was pretty fun, if you know what i mean. ;)

YES! They are finally engaged, but don't worry, it isn't the end of this book, I've still got a bunch of chapters to do, and after that I'm gonna do some more books, sequels to this story.
