The New Girl || Derek Morgan

Chapter Eight

I woke up, still half asleep, and my head was still on Derek's chest. I just moved around a bit, getting more comfortable and snuggling into him even more, yet trying not to wake him up. He just shuffled a bit, pulling me even closer to him. God, this was like a dream come true. But then suddenly, i heard three knocks at the door, then the door opened, so i quickly closed my eyes, and pretended i was asleep.

"Aww, look how cute they are together..." I heard Rossi say. Derek must have woken up, because he shuffled over, and moved me a bit, to try not to wake me up. Even though i was already awake. And i just shuffled a bit, laying across the beautiful white bed.

"We aren't a couple" i heard him whisper. "And shh! She's sleeping"

"Do you want to work today?" I heard Hotch ask.

"Of course! If i didn't, we might not catch anyone, and we won't get paid." Derek said.

"No, don't worry, we will cover for you" Hotch replied.

"And i think Alexis will wanna spend time with you" Rossi added.

"Yeah, okay then" he replied. Yes! "But why would she wanna spend time with me?" He asked. Oh crap!

"Um...no reason" Rossi replied.

"Rossi...." Derek started.

"Okay, yesterday, she told me she likes you..." Rossi replied.

Oh my god! He did not just say that, did he?! Holy crap! I quickly opened my eyes and sat up, giving Rossi a death stare. He just started to back away, as i stood up on the bed, i ran down it and jumped off the end of the bed, and chased him and Hotch down the end of the hallway.

"ROSSI!" I yelled as the elevator door closed. I just walked back into the room, seeing Derek in the same place that i left him. I just looked at him with sad eyes, and ran past him to the bathroom, and broke down.

About 20 minutes later, Derek came to the door, and started knocking, asking me to come out.

"Alexis? Please, come out" he begged.

"No!" I cried.

"Please, can we talk about this?" He asked.

"No! There's nothing to talk about!" I cried.

"Hang on" he replied.

About 5 minutes later, there was more knocking on the door, but luckily, this time it was JJ.

"Alexis? Come on, its JJ, open up." She said sweetly.

"Only, if Derek doesn't come in!" I cried.

"Okay. He won't" she replied.

So i got up out of my little spot, and opened up the door, to see JJ still in her pyjamas as well, and Derek was sitting on the bed across from the bathroom, with a very worried look on his face. I just closed the door back up and locked it as soon as JJ was in. And just as i turned around, she instantly gave me a hug, and i cried harder. We sat down, and i began to tell her everything that happened.

"Okay, so start from the beginning." She said.

"Well, i was asleep, at first, then i woke up, and Derek moved and tightened his grip on me, then i felt, like i was at home, he made me feel safe, and then Rossi came in, and i pretended like i was still asleep. Rossi said something and Derek woke up, he walked over to them and they were talking for a while, then Derek asked something and Rossi said because i like him, and so i chased Rossi and Hotch down the hallway, and came back in, then came in here" i told her.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry" she said as she hugged me again.

"Thanks" i replied.

"So, what're you gonna do?" She asked.

"Well, Garcia can't know, cause they're dating-" i started, when JJ interrupted me.

"Wait...you think Derek and Garcia are dating?!" She laughed.

"Well, yeah, i heard him call her babygirl." I replied.

"Well, first of all, they aren't dating, and second he only calls her that to make her feel better about herself cause she has to look at dead people everyday and he feels sorry for her." She answered.

"Oh my god, i feel so stupid" i replied.

"Wanna go talk to Derek now?" She asked.

"Not yet" i replied.

"Can i go tell him what you said?" She asked.

"Yeah, please" i replied.

After about 5 minutes, she came back in, and helped me stand up.

"He wants to talk to you" she said.

"Okay, i'll go out there" i replied as i made my way out to the bedroom area, and as soon as Derek saw me, his face softened.

"Okay, umm, I'm gonna go" JJ said, as she went out the door and closed it.

I just sat there in pure silence, staring at my hands, until he said something, and lucky he did, cause i was close to leaving.

"So...you like me?" He asked.

"Yeah" was all i said.

"Y'know it doesn't bother me" he continued.

"Yeah" i replied.

"So why are you so upset?" He asked.

"Cause i thought you hated me for it" i replied as i started crying again. And he just pulled me into him, as he hugged me.

"I would never hate you" he replied.

"But i bet you'd rather hate me than like me back" i replied.

"Of course i like you back, i liked you from the first moment I saw you." He said as he looked into my eyes.

"Really?" I asked as he wiped a tear from my cheek.

"Yep" he replied. "Alexis? Will you like to go out with me?" He asked.

"No. I would LOVE to go out with you!" I replied happily. And we just hugged for a while.

"If we are officially dating, can i kiss you?" He asked, and i just nodded my head for a yes, and he gently kissed me, and i was happier than i have ever been in my life.

Omg i have been waiting to write this chapter! Yay, they are finally dating!, and i was thinking about making a trilogy or something to this book, so if you would like that, please comment on any names, and if i have really good ideas, i might make it like a five book series.

But this was such a long chapter to write, and I'm so excited to write even more, and i have found myself writing at least drafts of three chapters a day at the most, cause theres no writers block involved with this story for some reasons, but with my other stories, there is. Haha awesome.

But the thing is, i can only add chapters when I'm at school, cos i don't have any internet at home, but that will probably change soon, cos my parents are considering buying a new internet thing, so that i can have internet all the time.
