Dan runs outside the school, smiling at the blast of fresh air and warm sun on his face. He sighed contently, shouldering his bag up a bit more.
Dan started to head towards the radio station. He was grinning like a idiot but he couldn't help it. Dan felt wonderful, amazing, fabolous, gorgeous. He felt like skipping down the road but refrained to avoid drawing attention to himself.
If you asked Dan why he was happy he would have a loaded up answer. Something like, I got to see all my friends again or this year looks promising.
But in reality, if you really pried him. Dan would probably spill like a faucet that it was because a pair of blue eyes that he found easy to talk to and liked everything nobody else did. He would tell you about those eyes and blush like a idiot the whole time he did.
Dan was just in that type of mood while he took the long wall to the station. He checked his watch, Dan still had about 15 minutes to get there and the walk toke 7 sooo. Candy time.
A car drove past Dan before he jogged across the road to the gas station.
It was bustling with people for a Monday morning. Which made Dan slightly nervous but he forced himself to barrel to the candy section.
He opened his wallet and toke out a ten. Seeing the line and not wanting to have to fish it out and force people to wait and get impatient.
Dan grabbed a bag of malteasers and a bag of swedish fish. Smiling at his chocies well he got in the long line.
Well Dan waited in line his mind began to wander to a pair of blue eyes.
Dan imagined Phil standing next to him, holding his food chocies excidedly and talking about random things with Dan. They would get to the checkout and Phil would try to pay but Dan would pay before him. Making Phil angry at him but his angry facade would crack at Dans puppy eyes. Then Phil would kiss Dan's cheek and call him a idiot before they went to the car and drove away on some crazy adventure.
Dan hadn't notice the blush creeping up his cheeks until he was at the front of the line. The checkout girl giving him a odd look while she took his money and Dan bustled out of there.
The journey began again when Dan got back to the sidewalk an started the 7 minute walk.
Dan looked arpund at the trees. Smiling when he saw how light and airy they looked in the sun. He looked up at the sky. A deep blue fading into a certain color of blue that almost made Dan blush again.
Dan walked past a little girl on a red bicycle laughing as her friend stood on the pegs and they drove around the driveway in tiny circles. Dan smiled before feeling like a creeper and hurrying down the street.
Dan was even happy to see the towns water tower, paint peeling off the 'Lancton' town sign. It looked like a old relic from the past. Which it almost was after standing there in town since the 50's. Dan had always like the water tower, it a had a railing around it he once saw a guy sitting on. Just staring at the open sky. Dan liked to imagine that man thought he could fly, looking into only the vast see of blue and spreading out his arms.
Dan walked into the radio station car park. Jogging over to the buliding with a content smile lightening up his features.
The radio station's door opened by itself and Dan almost ran face first into some stranger.
"Sorry," he mumbled, looking at the ground and brushing past.
Dan refused to look back. Walking to the stations front desk."Hey Charlie, I have a appointment with the boss." Dan smiled at Charlie, he smiled back and typed quickly into his computer.
