"Your new employee isn't going to cut it."

Rita rolled her eyes before facing her husband, who stood in his uniform with his hands on his hips, "Why?"

Taking in the stern look on his face, she knew this wasn't Eli speaking. This was Lieutenant Roosevelt, and he wasn't in a joking mood. He meant business and would only leave once she heard what he had to say.

"Because she's got ties with SAMCRO," he answered, pointing at the two folders on the counter. "Her father is a member and not just any member; he's responsible for Pope nearly invading Charming."

"Honey, you're forgetting that SAMCRO helped you when you went rogue seeking revenge for what happened to me," Rita pointed out. "And Pope didn't invade Charming. He dealt with the club, and everything he did was directed at them—not us or the citizens of this town."

"They're still criminals."

"Ex-criminals," Rita pulled the folders closer to her, opening them and briefly glancing at the information on them. "Besides, she doesn't have a record. Lennox is squeaky clean, so I have no reason to fire her. Her father's sins or the club's sins are in the past. They're history, and those mistakes aren't hers."

Seeing him ready to argue, she cut him short by kissing him. "I know you're worried and looking out for me, but I'm not firing her. Not unless she gives me an actual reason. Until then, you're going to be seeing her around. So try to be nice."

"Hey, Gem," Tig greeted, walking into the office

"Hey, Gem," Tig greeted, walking into the office. "I need a favor from you."

"What is it, Tigger?" She questioned, leaning back into the chair and removing her glasses.

"I was wondering if you could talk to Lennox," Tig nervously rubbed his hand through his hair. Not knowing if he should reveal what Lennox let him know. Or if he'd be ruining her trust by revealing her past. But he felt like Gemma could help her deal with her rape. "You know, give her some advice. Take her shopping or whatever you do when you want some girl time."

"Is there something specific you want me to talk to her about?"

"I know you'd be able to help her out, but I don't know if I should tell you why," Tig said, conflicted about what to do. "We talked. Got our past out there and something about hers," he stopped, sighing before shaking his head. "Look, I don't want to betray her trust, but I know you can help her. She doesn't want to admit it but is still not over it. She's still fragile when it comes to it."

"So she knows the whole bloody truth? I assume she took it well. Or is that why you want me to talk to her? Are you scared she's going to bolt?"

"Gave her the run down. She's good. She still wants to get to know her old man. Doesn't think any differently of me or the club. She said she knows we're not saints, but nobody is, and the past is the past. We showed her a different side. That we're a close-knit family, just wanted to make sure she and the boys wouldn't be in danger."
