Hunter's POV

I shot up from over Brooklyn, pushing her back to her laying position and approached my mother, sticking my hand out.

"Give me the leash, mom", I said, cold-heartedly.

She tried pushing past me, but I wasn't going to let that happen.

How was Brooklyn ever going to learn if I just gave her what she wanted?

"Don't you dare take him from her", Winter spoke with power and anger.

I turned to look at her and crossed my arms over my chest. She was standing with the handcuff keys in her hand.

Her piercing blue eyes looked deep into mine, "You have no idea how much she loves him. When I'm not there for her, he is. Don't be a dick."

Her eyes turned back to pale blue and she collapsed on our bed. Winter took over and Brooklyn fought her the whole time. That can wear out werewolves quickly. The second she collapsed, Axe broke out of my mom's grasp and was right by Brooklyn's side.

My mother left the room, leaving me with the situation. I pulled her back on the bed while she was groaning. Axe jumped on to the bed and cuddled up to her. It was cute how much he loved her, but she needed to learn.

I tried to grab the leash, but Axe growled and snapped at me. There was no way I was gonna get the dog away from her. She stirred on the bed and opened her eyes halfway. I thought back to the moment she decided to stand up to me. She called me a dick. That's the first and, hopefully, last time she'll ever cuss.

Her eyes seemed to shoot open. She tried to sit up but got dizzy and fell back on to the pillow. I rushed to her side and patted her head. I was mad but she was still my mate and I loved her. She brought her hand up to her head and complained about her headache.

I stared at her as she laid there as she fought her eyes for sleep.

"Sleep, Brooklyn. Your wolf wore you out," I told her as she drifted.

She was cute helpless but I had a decision to make. She was defiant and so was her wolf. She didn't want to obey my rules. I figured I may have to create more rules for her to obey.

There were other ways to make her obey but I didn't want to use them. There was one way that my father used and I know it works.

Brooklyn's POV
-
I had fallen asleep. It was the deepest sleep I've ever experienced. But as I woke up, I realized I wasn't in Hunter's bed. It was much colder and darker. I recognized the familiar feeling. He threw me in a cell.

I got up and wished I had Axe with me. It was cold and I was scared. Note to self: Never piss off an alpha. Especially Hunter.

I noticed that I was at the end of the prison, away from the actual prisoners. There were two guards standing at the door to my cell, waiting for me to wake up. They heard me walking around and started laughing.

"Well, well, well. Looks like little miss princess woke up", one of them said. I've never seen guards be so condescending towards women.

The other guard turned to the other, "I'll go get the alpha. He'll set her straight."

He ran off in the direction of the entrance.

The first guard opened the door to my cell and walked towards me. I walked backwards until my back was against the wall. I crossed my arms over my face so he couldn't touch me.

"Usually I get to do whatever I want with the prisoners, but because you are the alphas mate, I can't do anything to-", he was cut off by Hunter pulling him off of me and throwing him to the ground.

Hunter pulled me into him as the other guard came to beat the shit out of the guard. Hunter started petting my hair and moved my head so that I couldn't see them. I guess he didn't want me to see the blood oozing from his nose. Sorry. I'm super into violence.

"Put him in the next cell", Hunter commanded, throwing the guard into the bars.

I heard the sizzle as the silver burned his skin.

Hunter kissed my temple and I hadn't realized I was shaking until then.

"I have to go", Hunter said, letting me go.

He started heading to the door and I tried following him but he pushed me back into the cell. I gave him a puzzled look and tried to follow him, but Hunter pushed me back into the cell, shutting and locking the door.

"Please don't leave me here", I said, almost grabbing the bars, but remembering they are silver.

Hunter gave me a cold look, which made shake even more.

"I will come to get you in the morning, princess. It'll, also, be the weekend", Hunter's eyes travel my body, aka Isaac was in charge, "which means Axe gets to come in the house."

He left without another word. I fell to the floor, sobbing. There was no clocks or windows to tell the time. How was I supposed to know when the morning was? How was I supposed to know what time it was now?

I spent the day listening to chains rattle and, every time Hunter would check on me, the prisoners would yell cuss words at them. After a while, the guards told the prisoners it was time to sleep. The guards wouldn't let me sleep during the day so I couldn't wait to sleep.

At least the morning would come quicker, right?
