Ding, Ding.
That's the sound a bell makes when it rings.
Like the words that they said
That still constantly ring in my head.
The words that they said that broke my heart.
The words that they said that still tear me
apart.Little girls don't see the bad in others
Little girls only believe in the fairy tales told by their mothers.
The words that they said are like the dragons in my fairy tale.
The words that they said are the reason I'll fail.
As a little girl, I never thought I was different.
As a little girl, I never thought being different was significant.Once you've been shattered
You will always be scarred and tattered,
But little girls grow up and grow stronger,
And the words don't hurt as much any longer.
The words that they said will always ring in my head,
But from now on they'll help me grow stronger instead.
