Time never seems to be on our side
The clock counts down, never up.
We strap on in for the ride.
We scream and laugh as the twists and turns buildup. No one wants the ride to end,
But the clock counts down, never up.
No matter how hard we pretend
The ride always seems to end to abruptWe're always running out of time
Always walking on a fine, fine lineTime never seems to be on our side.
The end is never on our mindEvery day could be our last
As the clock counts down, never up
The seconds go by all too fast
All this time never seems to be enoughLoved ones pass
So we'll attend their mass,
And every now and then
We'll say amen.
But time goes on
As there's always a new dawnThree
Our souls are young and happy as can be
But the clock counts down, never upTwo
The end is nowhere in our view
But the clock counts down, never upOne
Life appears to be all fun
But the clock counts down, never up,And in the blink of an eye we are left with
None
