Patrick ended up staying in the hospital for another couple of weeks to make sure that he was strong enough. Pete and Declan stayed with him during visiting hours and the rest of them all visited every other day.
When Patrick was alone he was filling up a notepad,Declan bought him, with lyrics and ideas for when he was well enough to record them and show them to the rest of fall out boy.
What Patrick was glad about is the fact there was very little paparazzi at the hospital. It meant he could have peace leaving as they wouldn't know when he would be leaving.
At this point, Patrick had been in the hospital for roughly 5 weeks. Pete and Declan were with him and Patrick knew that soon enough he could go home. He was missing home dearly. Although he was with Declan and Pete every day, he wasn't at home with them. He was at this hospital because of the prick that had held him hostage for however long. But the main thing was that he was alive and he was able to see his son grow up with his boyfriend.
A incredibly small knock at the door toke Patrick out of his thoughts and he looked over, as well as Pete and Declan, to see one of the doctors stood there.
"Mr Stump?" The doctor asked Patrick as they stepped into the room.
"Yes doctor?" Patrick responded as he sat up in the bed.
"It's just to let you know that we are able to discharge you within the next couple of hours. So if you want to get ready, we'll have you discharged," the doctor told him.
Patrick smiled softly and nodded. He shifted slightly in the bed before he went to remove the covers. It took him by surprise when Pete instead revolved the covers and helped him up before they instructed Declan to just wait outside the door while Pete helped Patrick change.
Soon enough, Patrick was dressed and all of his things were sorted. Pete held his bags and Declan tried to help but his dad wouldn't allow him to do that. They double checked that they hadn't left anything in the room before Pete wrapped his arm around Patrick for support and the small family headed out to the front desk to sort out any paper work that they needed to do.

As soon as the three of them arrived home, Declan ran ahead of the older two and headed into the living room. Pete laughed and shook his head at the boy. Patrick, on the other hand, smiled softly at the boys actions and smiled at the fact he was finally home. No more fear. No more terror. Only safety. Protection. Everything he needed in that moment. He glanced over at Pete picking up his things and he swiftly headed over only to wrap his arms around him and give him a small kiss on the cheek.
"I love you so much and I'm glad you never gave up on me," Patrick whispered into petes ear.
"You know I could never give up on you. You're my other half," Pete told him softly with a smile.
"Well thank you. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be home right now," Patrick answered him softly.
"You're welcome 'Trick. And you can't forget about everyone else that helped me save you too," Pete commented.
"How could I forget? How can I ever repay you all?" Patrick asked.
"You don't need to honey. Your safety is your repayment," Pete told him softly as he locked the car and pecked Patrick on the lips. "Now lets get inside the house otherwise Declan will come running out for us," Pete added.
Patrick nodded before the two of them headed into the house. Into their safety.
