All day long I felt the urge to go apologize to Andrew, but I hold back. He doesn't try to stop me in the halls and explain. Maybe I was a bit harsh, I mean he tried to explain.
"No," I say out loud in the middle of study hall and everyone looks at me. The bell rings and I go to Math.
I'd survived all day without speaking or seeing Andrew oddly enough. Or so I thought. I was walking home when he caught my arm and I froze in place. I turned to look at him and he kissed my hand. Great, back to where it all started. I thought to myself. He drops my hand.
"Delilah, you didn't let me explain this morning," He says. "I, I didn't want to do anything to hurt her, I was one of two people who didn't want to, but the majority won and I couldn't do anything to stop them from doing it and then Reilley was all like-" I step forward and kiss him to stop him from explaining. I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him down on me.
"Why me," I ask pulling away, but not letting go of him.
"Because, you're beautiful with your flaws and you don't try to hide them," He says putting his forehead on mine. "Because you're different, and you except that you're crazy and weird and you don't care what people say about you" I start to cry and he wipes my tears. "You don't know how long I stayed up thinking about your sister. I finally ended up closing my eyes, and saw you, and fell asleep thinking about you" I put my head on his chest and shake my head tears streaming down my face. He picked me up and carried me to the park and laid me on the grass. He sits down next to me and strokes my hair. I close my eyes and fall asleep, but before I do I say
"I love you, Andrew Walker."
