ACT ONE — City of Gold

Scene Three

Jimins arrival at his castle was quite like no other. The winds seemed harsher and the snow fell thicker than when he left. To top it off in front of the black palace covered in large sheets of ice was Jimin's loyal servant Youngjae. Youngjae seemed to be unaffected by the cold as Jimin could see the tense look laced on his features. Jimin knew this must have been something serious as before Jimin mounted his horse leaving to the secret paradise he called his, he'd dismissed Youngjae of all duties for the day.

As Jimin rode closer to said man he felt his energy drain instantly and his blood run cold. The only time Youngjae was sent to fetch him was when his father wanted to discuss new strategies to beat the southern kingdom.

"Sir Jimin, your father has been expecting you, he and the others await your arrival in the throne room. Please don't be difficult, your father is already upset you left the palace early this morn."

The last time that there had been a meeting discussing tactics to overthrow the kingdom opposite of the North Jimin had blown up on his father. Though, Jimin technically wasn't in the wrong. His father had proposed something preposterous. His father had wanted to kill innocent citizens as a warning to the kingdom that wasn't their own.

"Thank you for informing me Youngjae, I'll be on my way then. Please take my horse back to the stables for me."

"Yes, Sir."

With that Jimin pushed open the large black doors leading to the inside of the palace. The doors creaked as they opened immediately alerting all of the people seated at the large table in the middle of the room.

"I see you've finally decided to come home son. Did you really think you could abandon your duties?"

"No Father."

"Don't think that you can ever leave this palace without my permission. Do you understand?"

"Yes, Father."

"Good now come and join us, we've been waiting."

Jimin took slow and careful steps to the brown wooden chair that was left unoccupied. He pulled the chair outwards filling the room with a screeching sound. As Jimin sat down his father and the lead strategist Kim Namjoon stood.

"Inside sources have gathered enough information to let us know that the Southern Kingdoms warriors are going to launch an attack." The King spoke this sentence with such hate in his voice it'd make even the strongest of warriors tremble.

"We must counter-attack, we must strike back." The King's voice boomed even louder.

"We do this by taking away their most valuable resource. The warrior Amaryllis.

~~Y/N~~

After Jimin left the waterfall (Y/n) stayed a while more admiring the tranquil atmosphere and scenery. She knew when she reached her palace she'd have to train and prepare for the upcoming battle.

After staying at the waterfall for more than an hour (Y/n) finally decided to mount her horse and make the journey back home. When she arrived, the first sight that greeted her was her magnificent white castle glistening in the sunlight.

She quietly hopped off of her horse and brought him to the stable area. When she got there she noticed her older brother Taehyung standing next to one of the horse pens petting his horse Jean.

"You're finally back?"

"Yes, brother."

"You know dads fuming right now, he's probably so pissed he's gonna give you extra training. I mean you got up and left in the middle of the meeting, sometimes I wonder if that brain of yours is even working."

"Shut it! At least I have one, unlike you!"

"You may have one but you sure as hell don't know how to use it."

"Pffft, whatever."

"Where'd you even run off to? Got some secret lover or something?"

"Eww no, and it's none of your business anyway."

"So it is a secret lover?!?"

"Enough! I don't have a secret lover okay? I just needed some alone time."

(Y/n) paused before continuing to speak again

"Where is the old man anyway?"

"Where else could he be? He's where he always is, sitting on top of his stupid throne."

"Welp, I better go before he beats my ass for leaving during that meeting, see ya later stupid."

"Meet me in the training area later, don't be late! You wouldn't want to miss your training session with the Southern Kingdoms greatest warrior Amaryllis."

"You're full of yourself!"

"I'm only honest Sis! Run along now!"

With that (Y/n) left the stables and made her way over to the throne room, she knew she'd be in a fair amount of trouble, the thought of her getting yelled at only made her legs tremble even more. She pushed open the large white marble doors, she slightly lifted her head to where her father laid, meeting his menacing gaze.
