ACT ONE — City of Gold

Scene Five

One moment, Jimin was inside the kingdom's walls, being lectured by his father, and the next moment he was scurrying away on his grand stallion to the infamous waterfalls. He didn't think he'd end up there again, but seeing as the suffocating atmosphere was only getting thicker, he needed to escape. His chest was seizing up with far too much tension, and he surely did not want to feel that during his stay in the castle. So he left (through one of the secret exits, of course), and galloped away on his beloved horse to his safe haven. The poor boy truly believed he'd be alone this time around— guess he thought wrong, then.

Only until he reached the forest that surrounded the tranquil waterfall did he slow down his stallion's pace, taking a minute to breathe in, letting all of the anxious feelings and careless thoughts dissipate from his body. No longer did a thick, heavy air surround him until he was choking and no longer did he feel that odd presence of stares behind him as he practically ran away.

This time, he felt safe— safe and sound.

The little crown prince took a rope and securely tied it to his horse (although making sure it didn't hurt him beforehand), letting it hug tightly around a tree's trunk. He let his hand travel to the stallion's mane, fingers running through the soft tresses of hair before leaving to head to the waterfall. He sucked in a sharp breath, pulling out a sharp, long blade from its scabbard that hung from his waist. His hand wrapped around the polished handle of the sword, fingers calloused from the cold, unforgiving weather in the north.

Before he knew it, he was once again training in peace, mind far too focused on hitting the damned tree bark to notice the familiar woman somewhat coming his way.

~~Y/n~~

When (Y/n) arrived at the training grounds she expected to see her tall older brother Taehyung waiting for her. Instead, all she saw was an empty room filled with nothing but training equipment. "Tae! You in here!" (Y/n) paused looking around to see any sort of movement, she saw none and began to speak again. "What happened to the extra training you promised me!" Again (Y/n) began looking around hoping for some sign that Taehyung was in the room but all she received instead was dead silence. Taehyung usually liked to play jokes on his younger sister so (Y/n) had just assumed this was one of those jokes. With a shrug of her shoulders and just a moment of contemplation (Y/n) had made her way out of the training areas and back to the stables where she was earlier this morn.

(Y/n) made her way to the stable where her beautiful black horse took its rest. She gently patted him on the head making his black hair become messy. At the same time, she fed him a vibrant orange carrot to boost his energy for the long but short distance ahead.

Back to the waterfall is where (Y/n) is headed. Throughout the years of the long and brutal war, she'd find herself training there when Taehyung didn't want to help her practice. It was the perfect place as it was secluded and hidden from any onlookers.

Upon her back was a thin leather scabbard where she left her sword to rest. Among that somewhat of a first aid kit rested about midway down her thigh strapped securely in place.

When she mounted her horse and embarked on her journey towards the not so secret paradise she began to feel the familiar feeling of wind flowing through the strands of her hair. The feeling of riding upon her horse thrilled (Y/n) to no end after all the journey is almost as breathtaking as the destination.

The beautiful different shades of green trees and the different flowers that littered her pathway alerted (Y/n) letting her know her destination was simply one turn away.
