Scene Two

(Y/n) continued to stare at the boy, he felt so familiar to her but she just couldn't understand why. She was one hundred percent certain she'd never seen his face before, it'd be hard to forget someone like him. He had black hair that reflected all of the sun's rays, beautiful fair skin and eyes so captivating (Y/n) could hardly pull her own away. This boy's presence was enchanting and (Y/n) wanted so desperately to know why.

(Y/n) didn't know what to do though, her usual trips to the waterfall had always been unaccompanied. She couldn't decide whether she wanted to leave or sit next to the nameless boy. (Y/n)'s thoughts were interrupted by the mysterious boy's honey-like voice.

"Miss, if you'd like you can sit down next to me." The boy took a pause flashing a quick smile which made (Y/n)'s heart skip a beat. The boy wasn't quite finished though as he began talking again.

"I don't bite." His original smiled had now morphed into somewhat of a smirk it seemed that his personality had done a 180 and (Y/n) had no idea what to make of it.

As much as (Y/n) was skeptical of the boy she decided to heed his words and sit next to him. (Y/n) hopped off of her dark horse making sure to tie his reins to a tree nearby. She then tentatively walked over to where the boy was sitting the dirt and gravel crunching underneath her feet. As she approached the large rock next to the boy she still felt hesitant to sit next to him, though she knew that she was just being cowardly. How would her father react when he heard she was scared to sit next to some boy. He'd probably laugh at her for being spineless. (Y/n) soon pushed those thoughts out of her mind and quietly sat next to the boy.

"It's beautiful isn't it?" The boy spoke, his gaze failing to avert from the magnificent waterfall.

"It's magnificent," (Y/n) replied breathlessly.

"It seems to be the only place that's remained that way," (Y/n) flinched at the small mention of the topic she'd been trying to avoid by coming here. The boy had seen her flinch and frowned at her actions.

"I agree. The war hasn't been kind. Not to the Kingdoms. Not to the people who live in them. Not even to the life that exists naturally. This war makes the temptation behind the waterfall even harder to resist."

Jimin was shocked to hear that the girl sitting next to him knew about the oasis behind the waterfall. I mean sure the waterfall itself was no secret to the public, but he thought that the oasis was only something he knew about. How did this stranger know about this place?

Perhaps he should ask her.

"You know what's behind the waterfall?" Jimin questioned, his eyes narrowing towards (Y/n)'s frame. Throughout all this time, Jimin thought he was the only one to know what oasis laid behind there, he thought he was the only one to know of the ethereal-like haven behind it. Unfortunately, his beliefs were broken. He guessed other people did know about it, but just not many.

(Y/n) nodded, "Of course I know about it. All the imperial of the south know but they think it's fake. I on the other hand... I don't," she spoke calmly, chin tilting upwards a bit to look at the top of the waterfall. Oh how badly she wanted to head inside that haven. She wanted to just hide in there until the war ended but that could never, ever be the case. She would be shunned from her family if she took even a mere step inside.

Going inside would give you the reputation of a coward. Hiding from all of the violence out in the world, but who could blame them? The war was getting worse by the days and decades and no one could stop it until one side won.

Jimin was stunned, to say the least. The girl sitting beside him was not only from the very kingdom he was supposed to be sworn enemies with, but she was one of the royals too, one of the most authoritative people in her kingdom. Well, now what was he supposed to do? He was speaking with the enemy and if someone from the far north was to catch him, this would be the last time he had a head on his pretty little shoulders.

Well, Jimin could never let her know now that he was also a royal, too. Jimin decided this would be the best time to leave, he mumbled a quick white lie about his family wondering where he was, which in Jimin's mind wasn't entirely a lie. Surely the palace staff was scrambling to figure out his exact whereabouts. Though, none of this was of importance when Jimin mounted his pristine horse before quickly dashing away from the waterfall and the beautiful royal girl who sat quietly admiring it.

Jimin knew it was wrong to be near her, even so, he felt that he wanted to stay around her. This girl had something mesmerizing about her, maybe even enchanting. Perhaps it was the way her long (h/c) breezed in the wind or the way she spoke of this taunting war tainting the world.

All Jimin knew was that this definitely wouldn't be the last time they met.

He'd make sure of it.
