James was on Snapchat, it was a late night in LA. It was 3:30 am when he looked at his phone. He then looked at Grayson's snap story. It was filled with late nigh dinner or breakfast with Ethan rn.
If anyone was surprised, it was definitely James out of everyone else when the Dolan twins were invited to Paris Mens' Fashion Week. But it was harder when Grayson told him he'd be gone for a few weeks or days.
Right now James couldn't remember because all he knew was he missed Grayson so much. His heart ached to have Grayson at home again, in his house and in his bed.
Even after the sister squad broke up, Grayson and James became closer especially after Tati literally almost ended his career. Grayson was there through all the tough times. That's what made James appreciate Grayson after that.
Now that the beauty world was focused, at the moment, on Jaclyn Hill's lipsticks, James would finally relax. But his baby wasn't here with him to relax. He knew it would be impossible to message Grayson. He was six hours ahead after all. But boy did James wish he could.
It wasn't just that though, even though he was happy that Grayson would get to go to a fashion show in Paris, James was concerned. What if something happened, what if he cheats? What if he comes back and doesn't love James anymore? All the what if's made James feel nervous.
Before Grayson left, he told James not to go on social media, at least for the week that Grayson was away. So far, James was struggling not to go on but at the moment, he decided only to use Snapchat until further notice. He knew there would be arguments over what happened with Tati, in reality, James never meant to hurt her.
Tati was like his second mother, she helped him through that and he was grateful for that. Fame and fortune made it bigger than that though. Going over it in his head made all the anxiety and sadness come back. James knew he messed up, would Tati ever forgive, he would never know. But for now, he just wanted his baby to come home.
James checked the time of Paris and it was morning. Maybe give Grayson a good morning text? After all it was only 1:30 am here. James knew he wouldn't be able to go to bed without at least texting Grayson once even if it's morning in Paris.
Hey Gray, good morning love.. ❤️
He didn't expect a reply back as he settled into bed, immediately he heard his phone buzz once he was settled. James picked up his phone and read the message.
Hey baby, why r u still up? James knew he wouldn't be able to tell Grayson actually why, but for now he could just lie and say something else.
I couldn't sleep so I worked a little more. James wasn't exactly a workaholic but he was very busy everyday, his friends were lucky to even see him for dinner. Even after the Tati scandal, James worked hard everyday to show people that he wasn't a bad guy exactly, well he wasn't perfect either tho. But James wanted to make sure from now on that his fans knew he loved them and was thankful for their support.
Baby, go to sleep. You have a meeting tomorrow at 9 am. Also don't forget to feed Kyle. Also did you have dinner? Or at least some food?
James smiles at the question and reminders, Grayson always somehow knew his schedule before James did. Everyday, at 6 am, Grayson woke up and proceeded to wake up James as well. He usually forced James to have breakfast with him and ran over James' schedule everyday. Basically Grayson was James' manager even tho James had one. Actually Grayson was like the assistant that James never had that reminded him everyday of what he needed to do.
That's what made James love Grayson more, Grayson always wanted to make sure that James had everything and kept him in check. Did James forget that he had a meeting tomorrow morning at 9 am? Maybe.... but did he forget to feed Kyle, the cute French-bulldog? Of course not. But did James have anything to eat in general? Nope.
It was already 3:50, almost 4 but at this point James didn't care. Kyle was also sitting next to him which gave James comfort while Grayson was away. Grayson got Kyle for James' birthday, James didn't know why but he figured it was probably because he needed some comfort or something.
I'm fine, and yes I did have some food. And yes I fed Kyle.
James knew that Grayson was always worried abt whether James could take care of himself, the anxiety levels that James had was insane and yes he has a panic attack every once in a while. Or more like a week, either way James was never good at dealing with anxiety.
After a long day doing photoshoots and filming videos, James lived for the nights like these. Most of the time, Grayson would just hug him or spoon him making James feel safer than ever before. He didn't care for all the questions Grayson asked but he knew Grayson only did it out of love.
Go to sleep baby, I'll text you tonight. You'll thank me later if you go now.
James rolled his eyes but laughed at the text as he sighed. It already 4:05 and James knew that he would probably forget everything that Grayson texted him but it always made James remember that Grayson loved him.
Will you be there when I wake up?
If i'm not, then there must be something wrong if I don't make sure that you are fully awake and ready for those meetings tomorrow. I love you and please go to bed baby.
That little message made James' heart flutter as he said goodnight and locked his phone. These nights made James feel better and safer even if Grayson wasn't there. He didn't need Grayson physically there to know that he felt safe and loved.
Whatever kept James up late disappeared and that was when James' eyes shut finally. He could finally sleep without worry and sleep with a smile on his face.
