Felt the need to put the cover in this chapter :)

Albert's POV

The moment she left I held my head down, my fist clenching and unclenching. Claire left crying, not in a loud and drastic manner but in a calm and silent manner due to the tone utilized.

Hence she cried in a manner that indicated that I had bruised her with my choice of words.

Usually I would not feel guilty for speaking my mind but in this moment I did. What my words were supposed to highlight were not highlighted today.

My words were supposed to illustrate 'Claire I still love you but I'm afraid I may hurt you because of my anger'. Instead she got, 'Stay the fuck away from me, the love I had for you is gone'.

"Idiot" I hissed, mostly at myself for possibly driving her away from me.

"So much intelligence yet you are still a fucking fool" I continued between grits teeth.

If only Claire truly understood what she had done the moment she hopped into that water. The moment she forced me to imagine my life without her.

How could she make such a grave choice? If the pressure built until I could no longer manage, while Ada and I shared many years together I would quicker toss her into the ocean.

Not my fucking wife!

I cared for Claire far more than anything in this world sick and twisted world. I would give my very own life for her or just to see her smile.

Was she blind to her importance to me? Did I not make it clear enough?

"I'm not relationship expert but this can never be healthy" at the voice I turned to face the father of Ada's child. The grave mistake she had made that could have cost us greatly.

Tossing a bottle of vodka to me he gave a small smile. I stared at the liquor in my hand before sending a bitter glare his way.

And yet he had the audacity to smile.

"Says the man that fucks a random woman without protection in a dismantled building" I replied aggressively, the small smirk Miguel held turning upside down.

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" he asked and I partially rolled my eyes.

"It means that both party failed the task given to them" I clarified slowly. He face shows that he was not quite pleased.

"We were trapped inside that god forsaken building for six months! Chemistry were bond to play sooner or later" He defended strongly, me cocking a brow.

"She killed all your men!" I replied, Miguel crossing his arms.

Santos had grown tired of trying to find means of escape and so was the woman seated opposite to him. It had been five months and a few days since they were trapped with no sensible method of communication.

If they had not escaped by then, what chance did they have now?

Food was there and so was water but as the days went by both supplies seemed to diminish. Simply said the grim reaper would be able to make his visit soon.

He stared at Ada who had not spoken for about three days, this last conversation they held being an argument regarding how their scared resources were being utilized.

Partially Miguel felt guilty because if he had abort this mission both would not have been in this mess. If he has not thrown that grenade to keep her put in order to seek revenge both would be free.

"My men will come searching for me..." He began slowly, Ada serving the man a bitter look. She said nothing, her gaze now cases to the floor.

"My team men will come searching for me and the others because the moment we got here all communication was lost" he carried on, Ada serving another bitter look.

"What the fuck does that have to do with me?" She hissed as she loaded her gun, her arms between her legs.

She wore nothing but a bra and shorts, a red dress placed on a rock next to her. The evidence of water quite heavy in the fabric.

"Your men will come looking for you so pretty soon we will be out of here whomever should reach first" he told her as he stared at her. The longest he had looked at her since the 'incident'.

To be quite honest she was actually cute.

"Lucky you. Knowing that  blonde crooked nose asshole I'm going to die down here" Ada hissed as she now stood, Miguel standing also as he stared at Ada oddly.

"What the hell is that supposed to me?" He asked. Ada rolled her eyes.

"It means I'm only an asset and the asshole I call my boss couldn't give a shit if I end up dead with each and every mission he sends me on!" Ada yelled as her voice broke and Miguel's eyes showed something he wasn't supposed to hold for a murder.

A woman who aimed to kill him days ago.

"I..." He trailed off because truth be told there was really nothing he could say to her. While their jobs were similar there was no way on earth that he could say he was an asset.

She could.

"I had no idea" he continued and she rolled her eyes.

"Of course you wouldn't, no body does" she hissed.

"The way you behave would never lead anyone to pity you for the persons you work for" he continued even with her bitter remark.

"I never said that to obtain pity" she hissed and he bit his lips in order to prevent bitter words from escaping.

"Then why stay?" He asked as he gripped her wrist, Ada staring at the area he held before glaring into his eyes.

"Why work for those assholes" he carried on.

"Forget I said a damn thing..."

"No, you've said it so go on" he urged and her sudden movement was what threw him off balance. His force send Ada backwards, Ada desperately trying to clutch something.

She failed because the only thing available was mid air.

His eyes widened, his body going forward on instinct as both fell, his hand standing protection for the back of Ada's head.

Lets just say the concrete beneath them was not very soft.

She opened her eyes only to stare into gray eyes, both of her hands resting at her side. To be quite she was expecting heavy impact.

He stared down at her, his cheeks slightly red as he knew she felt his now building errection. The fact that she glanced downwards once or twice proved this.

Balancing on his knees he tried to make the situation a bit more comfortable. Ada remained silent, her eyes fixed on his.

"I care about you" he confessed without knowing until Ada's eyes widened. She said nothing and it was in that moment he felt stupid.

He cleared his throat, each and every nerve within him shaking. Why the hell did he say that to her?

"Are you okay" he asked and she simply nod. She sat up partially, Miguel balancing on the palm of his hands as he avoided her eyes.

That's when she pulled his lips to hers, Miguel returning his hand to the back of her head as her legs widened.
