Ten years later...

"Mom! Mateo keeps coming into my room even though I've told him to stop like a billion times" Francesca barges into the kitchen

I look over to Bradley who was watching the news than over to Lea who was peacefully minding her own business.

"Where is he now?" I spoke after taking a long sip of coffee

"Sitting on my floor playing with Dino," she said in a fiery tone

Dino was Francesca's bunny we got her when telling her she was gonna be a middle child. It was one of the biggest regrets we've ever had.

"He's six, He'll get bored in five minutes. What's he possibly hurting?" Bradley spoke up as he looked over

"Mom can I go outside" the tiny child of the hour trotted in with his velcro shoes already on and a greedy look slapped onto his face.

"Yes! Stay in the back though" I smiled

"Can we go swimming later?" Fran sat down next to me at the table in our newish house

"I thought you guys didn't like the saltwater?"

"We have a huge pool and never use it" she frowned

"I use it" I smiled

"Because the salt water helps your fibromyalgia" Lea commented

The twelve-year-old walked over from the couch and sat down next to her sister.

They looked extremely alike but polar opposite at the same time. They had the same eyes and hair color, yet Lea has more of her biological mothers features while Fran got more of a mix of mine and Bradley's.

Bradley shifted on the large sectional and looked over at us.

"How about all kids go outside and I get some alone time with my wife" Bradley joked

"Blah" Fran stood up and walked to the sliding doors

"Good idea" Lea rolled her eyes in a playful matter.

I stood up and walked over to Bradley as he opened his arms wide.

"I can't believe tomorrow Lea will be thirteen!" I frowned

"I know, it seems just like yesterday when you got kidnapped while watching her and my ex-girlfriend was the reason" he hugged my body tighter

"Soon it'll be ten years since I became her legal mother as well. Where the hell has the time been going"

"I still can't believe you wanted to do that"

"What do you mean?"

"I always thought you'd treat her like your own, but I never knew you'd make it legal"

"Well it happened and I'm so happy I did it. She seems to be the only girl that's not hormonal"

"Giovanna is seven months old how do you know what's she'll be like" He laughed
