Y/N's POV

"So, where did you come from, my dear?" Mikage asked, whilst taking a sip from his tea.

Weirdly, this blonde man just let me in, a stranger. I could have been a psycho, I could've done anything to harm him, yet this man and I are sitting on table, casually having tea like were old buds.
And that boy who saved me, I can't remember his name but he wondered off before I could talk to him.

Realising what he asked, I could feel a cold shiver climb up my back from just the thought, though I just ignored it.

"Oh umm... I'm just a small town girl- or well I used to be." I replied, distractingly myself from the constant voices screaming in my head.

"Did you just move here?"

"Actually I don't really have... a... home." I said, hesitantly.

"Oh I once met a girl your age who was once in the same situation as you, but back then I had an arrogant fox running the house.
I have to leave to go out of town for a while, if you want you can stay here until I come back? This would fix both our problems."

"Really?!" I shrieked. For once I'm a long time I could feel some hope rise in me.

A house. For free. Why wouldn't I agree to this offer?

"DEAL!" I reached my hand out and we both set the deal.

Little did they know a suspicious snake was watching from the sidelines.

After tea, Mikage told me some funny storied about a guy named Tomoe and a girl called Nanami. I haven't seen that other guy yet, I was hoping to ask him some questions.

"Oh look at the time, if I don't go now I'm going to be late. Mizuki will show you around town and buy you some clothes, if that's ok with you? I should be back in a month." Mikage said, checking his watch.

"You're leaving already?" I asked as we walked to the front door.

"Yes, I'm afraid I cannot waste any time, I'll see you when I come back, okay?" I nodded silently as I walked him to the gates of the shrine.

He quickly kissed my forehead and my cheeks started to burn.

"Umm..."

"Goodbye!" He waved innocently whilst sprinting down the stairs. Once his figure faded away, I held my forehead.

"Ugh, I'm starting to get a headache-" everything went black and I could feel a pair of slim arms wrap around me.
