The cringee. Idek how to write I don't know why I did this.

Kara's POV

"Ughh" When my mom didn't look up from her coffee, I tried again. "Ughh!" Still nothing, "Ug-"

"Kara," My mom sighed out, exasperated. "I know you don't want to go, you've made that abundantly clear. But I had so much fun there when I was your age, getting exercise, living in cabins, meeting friends,"

"Thanks for that friend's jab, Mom, really needed that right now," I grumbled, before pounding my head on the table. ""You'd think this would be the last place you'd want to send me after dad-" I trailed off after her sharp intake of breath.

My mom decided to ignore the remark and continued our conversation as if nothing had happened. "Why are you complaining so much, you could be starving in Africa," She retorted

"What, is that next on your to-do list?" I snarkily replied before storming off to finish the packing that i may have not even started yet.

Amelia's POV

I almost full out gagged when my sister, Ava, placed a long kiss on her boyfriend's lips. Noticing my grossed-out expression, Ava rolled her eyes and said, "Maybe if you'd stopped staring at me and my boyfriend, you could find one of your own."
"I would prefer to not have someone eat my face off in middle school, but your call," I sweetly smiled at Ava. "Now if you're done saying goodbye, or, even if you're not, we have a bus to catch."

I heaved my duffel bag onto my shoulder and entered the bus. When I had signed up for this camp in the spring it seemed like a perfect getaway from my imperfect life and annoying sister, but since my mom forced Ava to, not only sign up, but request to be in the same cabin as me, it started sounding less like a summer long vacation, and more like an elaborate torture chamber with a few more waters;ides than normal.

I stared outside the bus window as the dust from the gravel road we were on started to coat the windows and i heard my sister's obnoxious goodbyes fade away.

Space's POV

The sun beat down on my tan skin as a trudged through my driveway, carrying the last of my things.

"Space, is that all?"

"Yea, mom" I yell back.

As a sit down in the passenger seat in my car, my mind starts thinking about last year camp memories. Singing dumb songs by the campfire, color wars, making snide remarks about Clara until I swear she would explode, I started to smile, lost in thoiught.

"Earth to Space!" My mom jokingly said.

"Oh, sorry," I smiled back at her, looking back at the house, my smile started to fade.

My mom noticed my change in demeanor and winced. "Honey, I know you want your father to come, but you know how he is about that stuff."

"He could just stay in the car, plus, it's a camp, not some kind of place where journalists hang around."
"He just-"
"He's selfish, that's what it is, doesn't want his daughter to head to a 'old timey, raggedy camp'" I replied, making airquotes around his description of the camp."His wrong and stupid words, not mine." My mom made an intake of breath, like she was going to say something, but decided against it, and we spent the next long hour of the car ride in silence.

Clara's POV

"Guess what day it is!" I yell at my twin, knowing fully well he already knew. "CAMP!" we yelled together. I laughed and told him breakfast was almost ready.

I went into my room to double check i had all the stuff i needed packed. Bugspray? Check, Baseball cap? Check. Extra swimsuits and towels? Check and... check. I sighed contently and sat down on my bed. These checks were even fun at this point, to me anything that had to do with camp was, they were pointless though, after going to camp for five years, I could list the camp supply list in my sleep. It had been a hard 9 months full of non-camp things, but I was ready to get back to the musty cabins and germ filled lakes, I was even starting to miss Space.

"I'll eat your toast if you don't hurry up!" my brother, Aj yelled, his mouth sounding like it was full of food. I'm sure he already has, but I find myself not able to mind as I fill my mind with images of campfires tonight. I swing my legs over the bed a rush downstairs, hoping to get a bite.

Eva's POV

"Eva... Eva... EVA," I awoke with a start at the sound of my name being called. "Camp day, don't be late!" my mom shouted from down the stairs. Oh, I had forgotten, it was camp day! After too long of not seeing my camp friends, Clara and Space, I would finally get to see them, plus all the other new faces. One face I really wanted to see was AJ's, but I couldn't let myself wander off to dream about his cute brown hair, or shining blue eyes- NO, he is Clara's brother and that is all, I firmly tell myself.

"Mom, Dad, I'm ready to leave," I call out roughly twenty minutes later. I get into the car and cannot wait for the familiar dirt road that led to the camp appear, I busy myself with thinking about the memories of last summer and the memories I was sure to make again.

Kailie's POV

Today was the day... camp. Ever since I had signed up for the sports camp in the beginning of winter break I had waited impatiently for it to begin. I didn't do any sports during the school year, and I was ready for a summer full of soccer, basketball, softball, and whatever other sports I could play. I shoved my last swimsuit onto my suitcase and rushed down the steps, two at a time. I hugged my brothers goodbye and stuck out my tongue at them as they started teasing me.

"I know this is some nature camp, Kay, but your hair doesn't have to look like a bird's nest,"

"Haha, hilarious. Hey can you tell mom I'm going to head out to the bus's meeting place early, so I get there on time?"

"Sure"

"Bye, I'll half miss you," I yelled as I proceeded out the door and started to jog to the bus's meeting station. I'm so excited!

Third Person POV

As the six girls entered Camp Lakeview, they all had a distinct feeling about how the summer was going to be... some were filled with dread, others anticipations, and still other excitement. Through all the different emotions, they all acknowledged one thing, this would be a summer they would never forget.

Everyone who didn't get their own POV is going to be a mostly side/filler character, but they'll still have a significant part. (Except Ava because I thought I introduced her enough in Amelia's part, so she'll also be a main character)
