Her hands wrapped around the mug of coffee she'd made only minutes prior, her eyes heavy with tiredness. She hadn't slept at all that night and gave up staring at the ceiling at 3 am. It took her five minutes to get out of the grip of her boyfriend and once she was free she kissed his forehead lightly.
Four hours later she sat in their shared living room, drinking her third coffee of the morning and looking out of the floor-length window onto the streets of London. The sun, slowly making its way from hiding behind the horizon, cast golden hues into the space where she sat. Silence enveloped the room with the only sounds audible being the light chirps of the birds in the trees by the window.
Y/N didn't even notice the presence of Harry until he was sat next to her, bringing her legs to lay upon his knees. The throw that once sat in a wicker basket was now draped over them both, the sudden warmth causing Y/N to curl herself up more.
"You're up early." A rasp in Harry's voice indicated that he had only just woken up, his eyes still heavy with sleep.
"Hmm; I didn't sleep." Her eyes were fixed on the streets of London, the sun perfectly casting shadows on her bare face.
"How come?" She turned to look at him, a simple act that caused the largest smile to spread upon both of their faces. Before she replied, she pecked his lips and took another sip of her coffee.
"I dunno. Tried to sleep so many times but my brain wouldn't shut off. I wouldn't mind but there's nothing for my mind to be overthinking. Decided at 3 I should call it a day and come and watch the sunrise." Harry's hand gently rubbed at her feet and shins, a short silence blanketing the both of them.
"Should have woken me, angel."
"You were sleeping. And you looked like an angel. Didn't want to disturb you, you've been so busy lately." Harry grabbed his girlfriends hand, kissing it lightly before playing with her fingers absentmindedly.
"You should know I will always wake up when you want me to. I don't care how busy I've been, you're the most important."
"Next time." They chuckle lightly before Harry stole Y/N's cup, taking a sip of her coffee and winking at her. "Oi! There's more in the pot if you want some. Don't have to steal mine!"
"I'd rather share yours, and watch the rest of the sunrise with you."
The next hour was spent in a comfortable silence, Y/N pressed into the side of Harry while they watched the sunrise and shared a cup of coffee.
"Oh yeah," Y/N tilted her head to see her boyfriend, a smile tugging at his lips. "Good morning, beautiful."
"Good morning, handsome."
