The weather affected your moods constantly.
You were always at your happiest when it was cool enough out to need a jumper but still warm enough that you could go out without a coat. Sure, you loved a good hot day where you could head to the beach or the park and have a picnic before laying back and enjoying the sun shining on you, but nothing beat the days where a jumper was needed to keep the bitter breeze from hitting your skin. Your least favourite weather for the simple fact that it turned you into the biggest grouch-was rain. Or at least, the rain that wasn't expected. If you were awake when it started raining then it wasn't too bad, but to wake up to a rainy day that you weren't expecting made you feel so glum.
That's why after having a few weeks of what you would deem perfect weather, it was sod's law that you woke up to the rain pelting against the window to your bedroom. You let out a loud sigh and threw your head back against the pillows below you. Harry had already left for the studio and the cold feel of his side of the bed told you that he had left a while ago. The rain sounded so calming against the window, though it did nothing to help your increasing grumpiness.
The lack of warmth outside that had been created from the grey clouds didn't allow the sun to heat the air. You decided that you would spend your day watching movies in the lounge with endless cups of tea and blankets galore while you waited for Harry to get home. Before you could even force yourself to climb out of bed, your phone beeped from your bedside table with your initial reaction being a loud groan, though when you saw his name you couldn't help but smile and unlock your phone instantly.
I didn't want to wake you this morning, you looked so cosy. I love you xx
You could always trust Harry to send you a text as soon as you woke up, it was a talent of his. With a quick reply telling him that you missed him already and couldn't wait for him to get home, as well as telling him that you loved him too, you got up and padded into the bathroom attached to your bedroom. After a wee, you brushed your teeth and had a couple of minutes to look at yourself in the mirror, seeing your hair a mess on top of your head and your eyes a little droopy from sleepiness.
Despite it being mid-June and supposedly warm, the rain outside sent a chill through you so you walked back through your bedroom and toward your wardrobe to grab one of Harry's hoodies, the material soft against your skin and smelling like him. You brought it up to your nose and inhaled deeply, appreciating being able to smell your boyfriend's cologne on it still.

Once you'd got into the kitchen, you set the kettle to boil and grabbed your favourite mug from the cupboard-a yellow one with the words 'Rise and Shine Sunshine' scribbled in white on it with a couple of daisies-and put yourself a tea bag and a sugar in it ready. If the weather outside wanted to be miserable then it could, but you were using your brightest mug to try to perk you up a bit. It didn't take long to make your tea, so you sat yourself on the sofa with a blanket and flipped through movie after movie trying to find a decent one to watch.
None of them were speaking to you so you clicked on your new 'old' trusty, Ocean's 8. You hadn't been a fan of the first three movies, though something about it made you fall in love. From the very moment you went to the cinema to watch it, you were hooked. It may have had something to do with your love for Sandra Bullock movies, but it may also have had something to do with your love for the MET Gala. You would never truly know.
The fire that sat underneath your TV warmed you up slowly, the blanket around your body and the endless cups of tea helping too. After your first movie ended, you put Miss Congeniality on, followed by the second and then you moved onto The Breakfast Club, The Princess Diaries, Dirty Dancing and Bend It Like Beckham.
You were halfway into Never Been Kissed when the door opened from behind you. The sound of Harry's shoes hitting the wooden flooring could be heard over your TV so you paused the film and took a deep breath. You were wearing the hoodie you pulled out of his wardrobe earlier in the day and had wrapped yourself in a blanket too, the rain not having stopped since you'd woken up. Of course, you were still grumpy as hell and all you wanted to do was wrap your arms around Harry and have him cuddle you all night.
He couldn't help but chuckle when he walked into the living room. For seeing you wrapped up in so many layers when he only had a pair of his favourite trousers and a thin jumper on. It was cute though, seeing you look up at him with puppy dog eyes and the smallest of pouts on your face.
"What's got you so grumpy?" You scowled at him and watched as he chuckled at you, bringing himself to fall on the sofa next to you. The material of his stripy top was a little rough under the touch of your fingers but it was lovely just the same.
"It's been raining and you weren't here to snuggle." You pushed yourself into Harry as much as you could, the heat radiating him under his jumper, warming you up perfectly. "Not to mention the fact that you left without kissing me goodbye."
You could feel Harry's body shake as he chuckled below you, his arms coming to wrap around your body to hold you into him, knowing what the rain does to you. "I did, pressed a little kiss to your forehead before I left. You'd think after all these years you'd know that I would never leave the house without giving you a kiss in some way. Love you too much to do that."
He could still sense your pout so he tilted his head down so he could move your head back to gain access to your lips. As soon as he pressed his to yours, you felt so much better-for having been deprived of his lips all day had left you feeling rubbish.
He pulled away ever so slightly, chuckling to himself when you pushed yourself onto him more, craving the feel of his lips against yours. He parted your lips and grazed his tongue across yours, enjoying the breaths that were leaving you.
"'Ve missed you today," his words fanned over your lips, leaving you clawing at his jumper to pull him closer to you, "you really have no idea. Hated leaving you looking all snug and cosy under the covers. Wanted to get back into bed and cuddle with you all day."
"Wish you would've. Been so lonely without you." Rather than letting the kiss turn heated-which you wouldn't have minded in the slightest-Harry pulled away fully, pulling you down so that you were both laying on the couch, your head resting upon his chest with his right hand holding tightly onto your left one. His left hand wrapped around your back to keep you pressed into him. With your ear resting over Harry's heart, hearing the soft thumping of it beating, you closed your eyes and let yourself bask in being able to have him in your arms. You knew it wouldn't be long until he was off again so you needed to make the most of having him home.
"I'm sorry. Let's cuddle all night now then."
