Kyle's father on the side ->

Ayden’s POV

One second we’re kissing the hell out of each other and the next I suddenly see my boyfriend standing in a protecting stance in front of me glaring the hell out of whoever just said that. And I honestly pray to everyone that is listening, that the person is a wolf.

The growl Kyle gave off even sent shudders down my spine, although I might admit that these shudders hadn’t much to do with fear. The man standing on the receiving end was a whole different story.

I threw him a single glare, before standing up too and making my way in front of Kyle, facing him. It wasn’t such an easy task either seeing as that he desperately tried to keep me behind him, however in the end I still ended up chest to chest with him and took his face in my hands.

“Kyle, baby, can you please look at me?” I saw his eyes slowly focus on me and couldn’t help the gasp that escaped me. “Kyle?” His eyes were by no means their usual brown, no instead a bright blue iris greeted me and I could have sworn I saw fangs leak from his mouth, too.

“I’m afraid Kyle’s not here at the moment.”

A deep guttural voice spoke from my boyfriend’s mouth. If I didn’t know about werewolves and their possessive ways already, I would probably be totally freaking right about now. But being the individual I am I toootally kept my cool.

“You’re his wolf then?” I didn’t take my hands from his face either, not wanting to further rile him up or make him believe he frightened me.

“My name is Cerberus.” For a moment I wasn’t able to remember how to breath, that’s how intense these eyes were staring at me. Breathing in deep I moved my body closer to his, if even possible and made slow soothing circles on his cheeks.

“Alright, Cerberus, listen. Even though he could have been a bit nicer about it, that man was right. We’re in the middle of public and shouldn’t have behaved the way we did.”

I heard a snickering sound behind me and just as the man was about to open his mouth to undoubtly spew more nonsense that would cause Cerberus to rib his head off I turned and gave him an stare of my own.

Knowing very well that even without changing my appearance I could be extremely frightening if I let just the right amount of power seep through my façade, making him shut up and scramble away instantly.

“So can we please just go and avoid further nuisances.”

I asked looking back into the seemingly groundless pits of those eyes. For a second Cerberus seemed indecisive and looked up but when he found the reason for his outburst missing he smirked in an all too familiar cocky way.

“Sure, but only if you promise we will continue this.” Seeing the way he looked at me I couldn’t help the giggle that escaped me.

“Are you trying to bribe me, Cerberus?”

Expecting him to grow cheeky and rub his neck I was about to turn away from him when a steel hard arm sneaked around my waist and pulled me right back. And let me tell you what I was expecting wasn’t anywhere near what I was seeing. Cerberus was looking at me with barely contained hot, raw lust shining in his eyes.

“I didn’t think I was trying, so tell me, do I succeed?” Feeling my blood grow hotter I quickly stifled an uprising moan in his chest. This would have been so freakishly hot if we weren’t in the middle of this goddamn diner.

“Fine,” I murmured not sure whether he heard me due to the fact that my face was still nesteld in his chest but at the same time trusting his wolf-senses to do so.
