Chapter 7: The Muted Letter

It's been two days since the incident happened. Willow's and Jax's suspension was lifted and were back at school. Louise and the Tantei Club was doing well after they solved Joseph's case. Many students are seeking their help every day and they are happy and glad that they are working again. It's all simple and others are complicated cases but not as complicated as the latest case. 

Selene Harry, and Samantha are in the canteen hanging out after eating their lunch. Then Yves came. "Hi Sam, why are you so sad?" he asked then sits in front of Samantha. "I'm okay. It's nothing." She responded with a faint smile. "Sam, seriously, you should ask the Tantei Club's help," Selene said to her. "The Ice Queen is there and I hate her," Sam replied then rolled her eyes. "Well, if you stay like that muted letter will remain a mystery forever," Harry said. "Sam, maybe you should go and seek help. Harold will be sad if you don't read and understand his letter." Yves said then pats Sam's back. "Don't tell me what to do, I will seek help but not with the Tantei Club," Sa? said with a little angrier tone then gets her things and leave. The three just looked at each other and sighed deeply. "She really hates her," Selene said. "Well, I would be angry if that has happened to me," Harry said. "Well, I can't blame her but you know, I think she is not that Ice Queen like the others said," Yves said. "You're classmates, right? He asked the Harry and he nods. "She is not as bad as the rumors said. Just don't mess with her, you'll get a load of mockery from her, from what I heard." Selene said then smiled. Then someone caught her eye, it was her longtime crush, Jeremy from Louise's class. Harry notices it and starts nudging her and teasing her. "It's your Prince Charming," Harry said teasingly. "Stop, he'll hear you," Selene said while looking at Harry then she saw Harry stopped laughing then looked at me.
"Harry!!!" Jeremy yelled from the distance as he was running towards them. Selene froze on her seat. "Oh Hi!" Harry waved back. "Have you seen Timothy?" Jeremy asked him and recognize Selene. "Oh Hi Selene." Jeremy greeted her. Selene turned and face him then bows. "I saw Timothy with Jax. They are heading somewhere." Harry answered Jeremy's question. "Okay. Thanks!" Jeremy said then waved goodbye.

"He greeted you Selene. Your Prince Charming greeted you." Harry teased her. She hit Harry in the arms and both laughing. Yves was just staring at them smiling. "I hope Samantha will recognize me someday," Yves said to himself but Selene clearly heard it. "Then pursue her. Maybe Sam had feelings for you too," she said. "No, she only sees me as her best friend. Nothing more. I just want to give up." he said sadly. Harry and Selene just looked at each other.

Meanwhile, Samantha was on her way to the rooftop where she usually goes to be alone and to calm herself. But that's what she only thought because when she arrived at the rooftop, she saw someone who she doesn't want to see. Instead of backing out, she faced her. "Hello, Yuki-onna." ( A/N: Yuki-onna: Ice Woman ) Sam greeted Louise who is currently eating. "Excuse me, do I know you?" Louise said with her blank expression. Samantha's blood boil. "I'm sorry. I am just the daughter whose Dad lost his job because of your powerful family fired him because of a single mistake he did!" Sam shouted at her. "Well, I'm sorry. I don't know any of it." Louise said then put her headphones on and continue eating. Samamtha clenched her fist and tears starts falling down to her face. "Your sorry can't bring my brother back!!!!" She yelled then she again walks out of the place. Louise heard it loud and clear, she took off her headphones. "Her brother?" Louise said and confused.

Saamantha was running down the halls when Yves saw her. " Sam? SAMANTHA!!!!" he yelled then runs to follow her. Samantha is the ace of the track and field so she is really fast in running but still, Yves managed to get hold of her. They are in the school's backyard. "Sam? Are you okay? Why are you crying?" Yves said in between his breath. " You know, she doesn't remember me at all. She doesn't remember that her family fired my Dad. She just casually said sorry and she didn't know anything about it and ignored me!!!!" Sam said loudly as she is crying. "She is really an Ice Queen!! And even if she's the last person I could turn to help me crack Hyunjin's letter, I will not seek any help from her!!" Sam said then Yves hugged her. Samantha was bawling her eyes out that made Yves's shoulder wet. He doesn't say anything and just let Sam cry. She is in pain, deeply in pain.
