Taming The Ice Queen

CHAPTER 14 : GROWING FEELINGS

After class, Louise is walking to the corridor when she sees Jamielynne, her classmate, struggling to carry those heavy books. She stop walking and thought of whether she was going to help her or not. She's afraid that she will reject her help and she hates rejections but she toughens herself. She took a deep breath before she approached her.

"H-Hey, C-can I help you?" she asked. Jamielynne was surprised and books almost fell out of her arms but they both caught it. "S-sorry for startling you." Louise then apologized. "No worries and of course, I want help." Jamie said then smiled at her. Louise smiled shyly and carried the other books on Jamie's hand. 

"Where are you going?" Louise asked. "To the Library. My gut is right. You are not an Ice Queen as everyone was saying." Jamielynne said as she was staring at Lisa. "W-well, maybe I was before, I am sorry for it, but I'm happy to know that people like you, Rachel and Tantei Club look at me differently." Louise responded. 

They were chatting as they were walking to the Library when suddenly…

"Your Aunt was so kind. Thank you very much Timmy." the girl beside Timothy said. They are so much having fun. "No worries, glad I helped you." Timothy responded. "Neri !" Jamielynne called the girl. "Oh, Hi Jen." Jamie greeted her. Nerii was smiling at Jamie then her eyes averted to Louise and her smile faded. She then whispered to Jen, "She is the Ice Queen, Are you sure you should be around her?" It was soft but Louise heard it. 

Jamielynne chuckles and assured Neri, "Well, she may look like a cold heartless queen but trust me she's a baby." then looked at Louise. "Yup, she's right Nerimie." Timothy then smiled at Louise. "Really? If Timmy said it then it must be true." Neri said while smiling sweetly to Timothy. Louise saw it all, and she fell a tug on her heartstrings that made her heart ache.

"Um, I must go.." Louise said as she walked towards the Library and suddenly, "Lou, are you okay?" she felt a touch on her shoulder, she then turned around and saw Timothy. She felt her heart race, she was turning red, seeing Timothy this close, "Of course I'm fine." Louise then brushed off Timothy's hand on her shoulder. "Timmy! Let's go I'll buy you something!" Neri called out, "Gotta go.." Timothy said and smiled at Louise. "Y-yeah." Louise stuttered as she felt her heart ache from jealousy. Louise then turned around and saw Jamielynne smirking. "D-did you finished putting the books away?." Jamie said smirking.

"Ah, no, I'm sorry.." Louise then hurried up and put the books away. And Jamie then whispered "Jealousy, isn't it?.." Jamie smirked. "Eh?.. Ahahaha, what do you mean?" Louise asked nervously.

Jamielynne giggles, "Seems like someone's in　love.." she said while giggling. "Who, me?.. No no, I can't be in love, you must be mistaken.." Louise chuckled nervously.. "Okay then.." Jamie smiled. Louise chuckles. "Gotta go Jamie." Louise bowed to Jamie. "Okay, Thank you for your help." she replied. Louise smiled and walked away. 

"Me, in love?.." Louise shrugged "Never. I can't do that. I can't. "  she smiled sadly while walking away. "Why am I growing feelings for him?.. I can't.. After I treated him like nothing, I'm not allowing myself to pry in his life anymore. I'll just forget this feeling.. Can I?.." Louise said softly as she felt that a tear was about to fall from her eyes so she immediately wiped it off.

She arrived at the Tantei Club's Room. She took deep breaths and calmed herself. She doesn't want others to notice that she is acting and feeling weird. She smiled then opened the door, only to find Jax reading a book
