DIFFERENT

"Albus, you will have to get up at some point"

"Not yettttt" Albus groaned in his  pillow as Scorpius looked at him, starting to get annoyed at Al who was lying on his four poster bed, his face in his pillow and his hogwarts uniform tucked in a haphazardly way. Scorpius had it with him, he held out his wand and murmured "Aguamenti" a spell he had read during his endless reading in the Malfoy Manor, for a second nothing happend but then a jet of water appeared from the tip of the wand and spilled all over Albus' messy black hair making him jump in fright.

"What did you-How did- Why would- SCORPIUS" he shrieked at the grinning blonde boy, who simply walked away saying cheerfully "You should have listened Potter" Albus groaned once again before dragging himself out of his bed and tucking in his shirt properly "Your slytherin robes came in early, be quick or we will be late for breakfast" Scorpius said, seating himself on his own four poster bed which was in front of Albus'.

Albus glared at the Slyhtherin robes that sat on his bed neatly, a combination of green and silver and as he put it on, he was half expecting something to happen. Some kind of magic or maybe a prank that will tell him that he wasn't really in Slytherin but of course nothing happend, he went to check himself in the mirror and he was almost relieved to see that nothing had changed about him, atleast not from the outside.

The same black messy Potter hair that stuck out at the back, the same thin face and the same almond green eyes. He could even say that the Slytherin robes looked better on him than the Gryffindor ones as the robes matched him and his nature perfectly.

"Ready?" Scorpius asked from his bed, they were the only ones in the whole dormitory and Scorpius looked like he was forcing himself not to burst from excitement  which was something Albus couldn't at all relate to as the only thing he felt was dread but nevertheless he once again glanced at the mirror and then nodded before saying "Lead the way Malfoy" 

Lily's eyes never left the open gates of the Great Hall since breakfast started, students kept coming in but not the ones she was looking for. Once she saw the familiar jet black messy hair and felt her finally somewhat relieved but the feeling soon disappeared to find out that it was James. 

"You look disappointed to see me, that is if you are looking for a certain Slytherin look a like of me" he took a seat next to Fred who sniggered as Lily shot him a glare but before she could say anything a familiar female voice spoke up from behind her.

"You really should learn to shut your mouth Potter" The three of them turned to see Alice Longbottom standing there in her Gryffindor robes, her flowy black hair reaching till her chest and deep sky blue eyes as she frowned at James, who was grinning at her with his mouth stuffed with eggs as he shot her a wink which she returned to with an eye roll as she looked at Lily, her frown turning into a dimpled smile as she took a seat next to Lily.

"I am sorry that I didn't get to see you yesterday" she said as she filled her plate with cereals. Lily simply shrugged "Don't worry about it" she says as Alice nods at her before looking at James, giving him a sour eye at his eating habits "So James, Second year... planning on trying out for the quidditch team  as that seems like the only thing you are good at" Alice said, sounding quite mocking as she grins at him. 

 James in return gives her a dirty look before saying quite calmly "I for one am not just good at Quidditch, I am excellent in it and secondly I am much, much better of a student than you too" He said, shooting her a crooked smirk himself as she gives him a look while he stucks his tongue at her.

Lily shook her head at them both, they have always been like this. Since they were babies of course, the Potter and Longbottom kids have had many silly days together, most of it being James and Alice's frequent arguments. It would be safe to say that they hated each other and would do anything to make their lives living hell.

Lily shook herself out of her thoughts as she got up, ready to look for Albus and Scorpius herself but someone called out her name. Lily turned to see Rose running upto her from ahead as she leaves Polly Chapman behind. When she reached lily, she gives Lily a breathless grin as she hands her a parchment, lily looks at Rose with a slight frown before seeing the parchment properly to realize that it was her timetable.

 "I took it for you" Rose smiles at her which Lily returned uncertainly. She looked at it again to see that her first period was Defense of Dark Arts with the Slytherins, if she was correct then the gryffindors had many classes with the slytherins. "Oh we have quite a lot of classes with the slytherins, that means we get to see more of Albus and Scorpius even"Lily said excitedly as she grinned at Rose who's smile slipped.

She would never admit it but  Lily and Albus were the only cousins she ever got along with and she was quite hurt with the fact that were replacing her with a Malfoy. It sounded quite absurd but everything that had happend yesterday had too, one of them being Albus being a Slytherin but of course she couldn't say that to Lily without receiving a cold shoulder for weeks.

Lily was about to thank Rose and resume her way for her search of Albus but then Rose gripped her hand tightly as Lily shot her a confused look. "you are heading to the first class right? lets go together" Rose beamed at her and before Lily could argue, she pulled her with her. But lily was quick enough to take a glance at the Slytherin table once more to see Albus and Scorpius seated in their new Slytherin robes as they were having one of their deep conversations and even Lily had to admit that her twin did look better in green.

I KNOW I WAS SUPPOSED TO UPDATE YESTERDAY AND I DID BUT I WAS SO TIRED THAT IT WAS ONE TERRIBLE CHAPTER SO I DELETED IT AND WROTE THIS ONE AND I KNOW IT DOESN'T REALLY SAY MUCH ABOUT THEIR FIRST DAY BUT THE NEXT CHAPTER WHICH I AM GOING TO PUBLISH TODAY ITSELF, in a few hours probably will be more detailed until then
