I Fell in Wonderland
"Faking got it shaking."
There you stood, staring at nothing. It was like you were thrown into the abyss. It was dark and it felt like you were alone. You glanced somewhere else, trying to find something or someone but none
The only light was emitted from something above from afar. Under that light was a piano, you walked towards it only to find yourself drawing far away from it. Your pace gradually increased as you run towards it and finally, you stood in front of it. You grazed your fingertips on the keys, pressing random keys along the way.
It was a black grand piano. You didn't know how to play the piano but miraculously, you played very well once you sat on the bench. The sound the piano was making echoed the void you were in. You don't know what song were you playing but somehow it felt strange, in a good way. The melody was mellow and soft, it made your heart skip a beat in some way.
After a few minutes, you were about to stop when suddenly a person leaned back in front of the piano, you peeked up front to see-
Ray?
He must've sensed that you were looking, he faced you while walking over to you gesturing a hand. He was His face was blank but somehow by the gesture, he's showing emotion.
A dance?
You looked confused but still, you took his hand and stood up as he led you to the center and bowed. He then took you by the waist and gently swayed you in a pattern. You didn't know how to dance and because of this, you followed his steps. Both of you twirled and twirled and twirled as the scenery began to change.
You looked behind him, around him, around you, to see a garden full of flowers. The plain black floor you were just dancing on had turned into a white cobblestone with pillars standing in a circle with vines running across the ceiling. The whole view felt warm like Ray's hand.
This feels nice.
You didn't know what was happening nor why it's happening but it felt great, it's like a whole ton of problems were swept away from your shoulders. While you slowly twirled, you averted your gaze to him and beamed him a smile and in return, a smile ran up on his lips.
Thank you.
It was sudden, it's as if you heard his voice ring in your head but you didn't catch his lips moving likewise the statement he gave you. You were puzzled but nonetheless, you kept a smile on display and savored the moment.
Was I hearing his thoughts? What was he thankful for?
Thank you for the food.
What food?
You were lost in thought until you noticed that his grip on your waist loosen, you turned to him only to find yourself to be spun by him as a way of a finale in your little dance. The way he spun you was exhilarating that you must've let out a squeal. Somehow the spin lasted like forever, it as though time slowed down everything.
This feels like a fairy tale. I may not be wearing some kind of dress or being danced by a prince, but this...
You looked back to the gardens that gave of a luscious color of green and red and turned to Ray and got a glimpse of the first sincere smile you've ever seen from him.
...it feels nice.
Just in time, you spun back in his direction having a smile on your lips only to be presented with a surprise. A sudden force from him got you staggering.
No, it was not a kiss but a stab.
You froze in your movements, engulfed in his embrace, slightly feeling numb. He pulled away only to reveal a flower blooming in the lushest shade of red with its stem standing tall upon you. Your eyes trailed down to his hands placed on your chest, an ache crept its way in your heart as your brows knitted in dismay. You slowly followed your way up to see his lips turn into a frown, your eyes went up once more to meet his eyes-
And suddenly, his eyes were one of the most beautiful things you've seen.
-
You sat up straight while your chest heaved heavily, your eyes darted in every corner of the room you were in. With your instinct rising, you rapidly placed a hand on your chest, gladly, nothing was there. You were lost in your thoughts again thinking of the mess that occurred in your mind.
It happened again.
The dream happened again.
You stared blankly at the ceiling letting yourself spread across the bed as a way to make yourself 'think better'. The recent dream had you baffling in your mind, thinking of certain aspects that triggered the dream to appear again. Judging by the way you were squinting, the dream fazed you in a way that you can't let yourself fall back to sleep. You sighed as you brushed off the piling thoughts because you indeed, had a very tiring day. You laid back down and let yourself fall into a slumber but somehow something kept you from doing so, it bothered you and sent chills down your spine.
"I don't remember getting into bed..." you blurted in shock trying to recall of how you somehow got into bed.
Suddenly, you choked out of nowhere. Choked out of nothing but plain air, you felt your chest tighten in uncomfortable way. Somehow your breathing got thinner and thinner as your head pounded. Your eyes widened as it trailed down to the cause of the tight pain you're feeling.
A flower?
-
You bolted awake trying to register what had just happen as you stood up. Your eyes wandered everywhere as you swept away stray hair that got in the way of your vision. They finally landed on to a tall tree serving as a shade.
"42094? You okay?"
There I stood, staring at nothing.
