Chapter 5: Full moon

"I'm sorry.Oh, forgive the intrusion.I mean your family no harm." Elijah said.

"Why'd you kill those vampires when they tried to take me?" Elena demanded.

"I didn't want you to be taken.Klaus is the most feared and hated.Those that fear him are desperate for his approval.Word gets out the doppelganger exists there'll be vampires eager to take you to him, and I can't have that." He explains simply looking at the doppelgänger.

"Isn't that exactly what you're trying to do?" Elena scoffed.

"Let's say my goal is not to break the curse."

"So, what is your goal?" The brunette asked curiously.

"Klaus' obsessions have made him paranoid.He's a recluse. He trusts only those in his circle." "Like you?"
"Not anymore."

"You don't know where he is, do you? So you're trying to use me to draw him out."  Elena stated.

"To do that, you stay put stop trying to get yourself killed." Elijah said.

"You're telling the truth?" Elena asked warily.

"If I wasn't truthful, your family would be dead and I'd be taking you to Klaus right now.Instead, I'm here to offer you a deal."

"What kind of a deal?"

"Do nothing."

"Do nothing,live your life stop fighting.And when the time is right, you and I shall draw Klaus out. I'll make certain your friends remain unharmed."

"And then what?"

"Then I kill him."

" Just like that? "

"Just like that. But I do need an ally other than my own. I need one particular person. My Sister." Elijah sat down looking at Elena whose eyes grew bigger.

"Sister?" She asked in disbelief and Elijah nodded writing something on a piece of paper he from out of his suit. "You'll find Octavia here. I've tried asking but she's quite reluctant. I find her more likely to help defenceless human girls like you. But be careful. She's very close with Katerina. Their tricks are quite alike." Elijah warned. "I'm a man of my word, Elena. I make a deal, I keep a deal."

"How are you gonna keep everybody safe?" Elena asked again. "You know, I notice you have a friend, Bonnie, is it? She seems to possess the gift of magic.
I have friends with similar gifts."

"You know witches."Elena said nodding to herself.

"And together, we can protect everybody that matters to you.So do we have a deal?"

"I need you to do one more thing for me."

A few days after that happened, I never really saw him again although he promised he'd explain why he left. Today's the full moon. Fun. At least it's not as torturous as the other wolves. It lasts shorter than an hour and you change back whenever you want. My anchor isn't strong enough to resist the full moon's control. I got readied all things required for full moon as usual. Clothes.

I sighed before hearing a creaking sound of a door opening and a heartbeat pounding with footsteps.
I held my dagger tightly. Human. I sped down and crashed the human invader to the wall. I hear her gasp as I bared my vampire fangs to her. It's not Katherine. Gilbert. I let her go as she gasped in air and panted.

I sighed and rolled my eyes "Who allowed you to barge in like that doppelgänger." I spat at her and she visibly gulped.

"I need to see Elijah's Sister, Octavia?" She asked once she got her breath back. He sent her to convince me to join him? Seriously..?
