Chapter 6: The Descent

A few days passed after that, it's been boring really. Elijah rarely stays and is off to god knows where. There really isn't much to do in this small town is there? I walked into the grill finding out we're short on bourbon. I made my way to the bar before seeing the Salvatores talking. Wouldn't hurt to eavesdrop.

D: "What are you doing?"

S: "Waiting for you. Listen, there's a lot of people here."

D: "Damn, there goes my plan to rip her spleen through her back."

S: "Hey, I know you're upset about Rose."

D: "Why does everyone think I'm upset about Rose? I'm fine." Yeah right I can smell his agony and fury from here. "I don't know if you know this, sometimes vampires die. I'm gonna have a friendly chat with lady wolf, brother. Ease up."

J: "Hello? Well if it isn't the one I meant to kill. I'll have to get that right next time."

D: "You won't live to see another full moon."Unless Unless you tell me how to cure a wolf bite. And then I won't kill you."

J: "Promise?"

D: "Yes."

J: "Bite me. I'm not afraid of you."

D: "Then you are very, very stupid."

J: "How's your friend? Rose? Is that her name? Have the chills started? The unbearable pain?"

D: "If there's a cure, tell me. Or start watching your back."

"Did I mention the dementia? It'll eat away at her brain. Soon she'll be rabid. You want a cure? I'll tell you the only cure that exists. Take a stake and drive it through her heart." The blonde wolf walks out. I smirked slightly at the sight. If only they knew who was the cure. I walked up to Damon drinking my bourbon at once.

"Damon Salvatore gets rejected, who would've thought I'd see this day?" He turns around looking confused before looking normal again. "You're Elijah's Sister aren't you? Elena talked about you."

"I'm honoured. So what's this about finding the cure to a wolf bite." I crossed my arms.

"Do you know a cure for it?" He asked suddenly interested. I nodded and smirked "It's incredibly hard to get." "I don't give a damn just tell me how to get it." He demanded as I sighed "I can't."

Damon's jaw tightened and his fists clenched as he muttered a few curse words under his breath "Now where's the doppelgänger?" I looked around as he shrugged "Taking care of Rose." I immediately turned to look at him in utter disbelief. "You left a human Katherine look alike with Rose?  Who by the way has werewolf venom in her system which means she is  likely to hallucinate her as Katherine and kill her..." I left my sentence hanging in the air as his eyes widened in realisation as his mouth shaped into an 'O'.

"What are you waiting for? Let's go!" I snapped my fingers in front of his face as he looked at me weirdly. "Since when did you care?" "Both my brothers want her alive." I stated simply as we walked out of the grill in a hurry.

"So how do originals compel other vampires?" Damon asked as he walked along the streets leading to the Salvatore Boarding school, passing by the school that seems to have an event planned out although it looked as if it were not done.

"We have no idea. We just can." I stated simply hearing the laughters coming from the high school as we walked further down the street leading to a secluded path with woods on the side.
