Suprise

Portals weren't as complicated as it seemed. We appeared in the living room of the warehouse apartment side by side. We turned to each other with a small laugh. We were home in the blink of an eye, literally.

We traveled home together both giddy to be home. Piles of shopping bags and extra suitcases piled into the trunk and back seats of the car. Lydia and I had shopped enough to last a life time. Lydia buying a lifetime supply of shoes.

When we arrived at home it was just before 8 PM. We grabbed out all our luggage and walked to the door struggling a bit to get up the stairs and opened the door.

A welcome home banner greeted us in the entry way.

"Mom, we're home!" Lydia called a wide smile on her face.

The obnoxious clicking of high heels could be heard across the tile floors of the house. Natalie, mumbling non coherent things as she rushed to us. We both dropped our things to the floor.

"Oh, my God!" Natalie shrieked pulling us both into a hug once she saw us. "You're finally back!"

"Mom, we were only gone for a month." Lydia laughed lightly.

Natalie simply hugged us tighter. "Do you know how quiet this house is without either of you?" She asked pulling away lightly a hand on each of our arms. "I was beyond bored." She wined in a huff.

Lydia and I both laughed and soon Natalie joined in.

After unpacking and eating some well craved chinese food. The three of us sat down to watch a movie together in the living room. We settled on twilight after much debate.

Popcorn in our hands and each of us wearing pajamas and fluffy socks. We had a girls night in. We barely paid attention to the movie as we talked about New York. Though most of the time we were in the Institute we did go on several shopping trips and visited Central park a few times. Natalie had found out I had a brother so she knew that's who we stayed with.

Though she had yet to meet Jace she trusted us and was rather excited for us to go.

We all fell asleep on the couch while talking. Twilight playing to no one but the wall.

The next morning I got up and ready to suprise Scott. After a quick shower I got dressed. I wore a black romper covered in sunflowers. Black ankle heeled boots on my feet. The glamouring Ruin on my arm on display but Natalie believed I had gotten a tattoo. Jace told me I could cover the ruins with my glamour but I didnt feel the need to.

I plopped down on a chair in my bathroom and began to blow dry my hair.

Any plans for today?

After sending my message I began to braid my hair into two french braids. It was rather warm outside today and it would be a good day to go swimming. I was unsure of how New York could manage being so cold in the summer time.

With my hair fully braided I took a small amount of gel to slick back the baby hairs and the frizzy hairs.

Not that I know of, we will see though.

A smile fell onto my face. He was home, with no plans so far. With that I moved from my bathroom and to my room. Grabbing my keys from my bed I moved to leave.
