Lydia and I had talked about last night. I refused to lie to her and tell her that nothing happened so I told her everything. Including about the Kanima. She even helped me to read through some of my Grimore's in order to try and find a spell to help us catch or locate it.
Dressing in an outfit much the same as the day before except instead of leather I wore a jean jacket over a grey T-shirt. My boots made no sound as I paced the room looking through one of my Grimore's. Lydia asked me that morning if her outfit was alright which I responded with a simple smile as she laid across my bed holding one of my other Grimores that morning.
After making it to School Lydia and I had split up to go to our separate classes. Setting down behind Stiles I barely paid attention as Jackson set beside me. I had only met him once when Lydia introduced us and I honestly didn't like him. Pulling out a notebook from my bag I began to doodle.
"Hey, testicle left and right." Jackson whispered not all that quiet. I quirked an eyebrow in amusement watching as Stiles and Scott turned to look at him. Biting my tongue so as not to laugh. The smirk was whipped from my face as he asked, "What the hell is a Kanima?"
"Alright listen up." Coach stated from the front of the room making everyone turn to look at him. I made sure to keep my sights trained on Jackson to see what he would have to say. "A quick warning before we begin our review. Some of you, like McCall, might want to start their own study groups, because tomorrow's review is so profoundly difficult... I'm not even too sure I could pass it."
As couch asked for a volunteer to the board to answer the question Jackson began to talk again to Scott and Stiles which I intently listened to while pretending to take notes in my notebook. Jackson began talking about being paralyzed from the neck down which I wanted to laugh about. I paid no attention until they began talking about Lydia and chemistry. There was no way I would let them test her or harm her in anyway.
"JACKSON!" Coach shouted making the four of us involuntarily flinch. "Do you have something you want to share with the rest of the class?"
"Um," Jackson began unsure as he looked around the class, "Just an undying admiration for my-my coach."
"That's really kind of you." Coach stated in a quiet voice with a smile, the smile soon fell and his tone changed to that of uncaring. "Now shut up!"
"Shut it!" His tone changed again to nice, "Anybody else?"
As soon as the Coach for the lacrosse team turned around to go back up to the board I watched as Scott yanked Stiles towards him. Stiles being the unbalanced spaz he is almost fell from his seat and I had to bite my tongue to keep from laughing again. They were talking in hushed tones that I couldn't hear. Lydia from her seat behind me whimpered lightly causing me to turn to face her.
Her face became one of panic and I turned fully around to try to comfort her. Lydia pushed her eyes closed as if she was scared and I reached out to grab her hand. As soon as I came in to contact with her hand it was as if the whole classroom faded away. Lydia jumped from her seat with a small scream and pressed her back against the wall. A man I didn't recognize walked up to Lydia and got in her face after flipping a few desks. I watched as he blew a white powder into her face.
Opening my eyes my hand was no longer in Lydia's, I turned to see her at the head of the class whimpering and writing frantically on the bored. "EMPLEHENOEMOS" Some one help me, written back wards all across the bored. Lydia turned to look at the bored before turning to look at me. I nodded letting her know we would figure this out together.
The bell rang and we made our way to chemistry together. I sat by her in order to keep Derek's mutts away from her and to talk to her. As soon as we sat down I pulled out my notes for chemistry and she did the same.
