It was November 14th, two-thirty in the morning. I was at the airport with Joe, our luggage by our sides. Zoe and Alfie dropped us off, wanting to stay to see us off, but I convinced them that we'd be okay and we would see them in a few days.

Joe and I leaned against each other, nearly falling asleep when the intercom called for us to board our plane.

"Joe, wake up, let's go," I shook him before he woke up.

"Why'd you have to book such an early flight?" he complained.

"Because I want to get there as early in the day as I can."

Joe muttered something under his breath, and we walked over to the boarding gate. We got on the plane and I sat down by the window, with Joe right next to me. We both slept for a few hours. I woke up around five in the morning. My body and eyes were tired, begging me to close my eyes again and let sleep take over, but my mind was awake.

I looked over at Joe, who was staring straight in front of him.

"Joe? Why are you awake?" I asked him. He was the one who was really tired earlier.

Joe turned his head towards me. "Not very comfortable right now," he responded.

I nodded my head and turned to face the window. Outside, all I could see were thick, gray clouds. Occasionally, the clouds would open up and I would see the vast blue Atlantic Ocean.

"Eva?"

"Yeah Joe?" I looked at him.

"Thank you," he said. His eyes were bright and so full of emotion. His hair was messy, and just the whole view of him just made my heart do cartwheels.

"For what?" I asked him, but Joe just closed his eyes and put his headphones on.

Joe and I finally arrived in New Jersey. I hailed a cab and Joe and I got in. I gave the cab driver the instructions to my old home and in about an hour, we arrived.

"So this is where you lived for the past six years," Joe said as we walked up the driveway. It was a two story building with a grass covered roof. It helped keep the house well insulated. Never once have I complained that it was too hot or too cold in that house.

"Yeah. C'mon." I jerked my head and we walked up the steps to the front door. Even though I had a key to the house, it was no longer my house so I knocked. After a few short moments, I heard footsteps approach the door. Lilly opened it, a smile plastered on her face.

"Ate!" She gave me a hug. I gave her a tight squeeze. "I've missed you so much!"

"I missed you too, Lilly."

She pulled back and looked at Joe. "Hey, Sugg. It's so nice to see you again," she gave Joe a hug. She looked over his shoulder at me, raising her eyebrows several times before winking at me. I rolled my eyes and they pulled away from each other. Lilly led us inside and called out to my parents.

I led Joe to the living room, where he and I took a seat in the old worn out blue sofa. My Mom and Dad walked into the room. Joe and I stood up.

"Mom! Dad!" I ran into their arms. I've missed them so much!

"We missed you too!" My Dad said, rubbing my back.

"How is London?" My mom asked. I walked back over to Joe.

"It's really great. Things have been going pretty well there," I responded.

"That's great, anak," My mom turned to Joe. "It's nice to see you again. You're so grown up now!" She walked over him and gave him a hug.
