Painful methods

That pain you feel at night when you're warm inside,

the darkness creeps out from the tattered cocoon of a heart.

Replacing the feelings of the cold nights alone,

without sharing this bed for two.

Loneliness lingers like a terrible sin,

but society will not crumble but it will merely leave you with a questionable grin.

You question your actions and your motions to a fault,

for you know one day all will be left out in the dark.

The feelings you have right now I haven't been through,

but I reach out to you as a brother in need of his kin.

I'm sure darkness and despair are all around you,

but if you need to talk it through,

it's up too you;

I'll be here don't you fear!

Society offers us the painful method,

I stand here with an ear and a handful of cheers!
