So the school year is over and I just experienced pure panic for 10 seconds. My story was on Google Classroom and it appeared that the school had deleted my account. I found a way through it, but still. I'm giving you the final chapter now. I hope you enjoyed this project!
Chapter 6
The Jack appeared in the med-bay. At the end of the hallway, she could see them rushing around the body for no use. It was already dead. The Cat had made sure of that. She stood there for a minute until the Hatter noticed her. He stopped moving and stood there. The Rabbit noticed and did the same. Only the thief was left moving. He urged them to help him. The Cat appeared next to her. The small female smiled at the distressed thief from a distance. Smoothy, the Jack drew a gun out of her jacket. She cocked the barrel and with impeccable aim, shot the thief in the head. He would be the second victim of the apocalypse. She pulled out her comm to give the signal for the bombs to drop, martyring herself and the others, though they would never know.
Within an hour, the entire country was destroyed. All that remained were the scattered husks of buildings. Among the rubble, one remained. The Cat. She had disappeared into the void when the first bomb fell. There Chessie remained for weeks, waiting out the armies that came in to exterminate survivors. She felt conflicted. Alex's medication had only been restricting her true power. When the Jack had discovered her hiding in the Room of Doors, she had predicted death for Cordibus. The Jack had proposed a plan. Do away with a girl that was tagging along with Alex and she never would be brought back to reality. Chessie hadn't realized she would also result in killing her friends.
In decades, she would rise back up to make a great nation. But for now she wandered the dirt and decay, wishing the madness would hide the world from her eyes.
