CHASE
The next morning, I lay on my bed with Sasha cuddled up into my side. I was looking through the box of pictures that we looked at last light. When I pulled out a certain picture of us I smiled. It was the first picture my mom gave to me. The picture was of me sitting in a blanket with a little Sasha on my lap. My face was in her hair and she had her arms wraped around herself. she was 10-years-old then and she had adorable little pigtails. She had a cute little royal blue and black dress with ruffles on the bottom. It had a beautiful big bow on the back and it had roses on the from wheir the ribbon comes around.
I felt Sasha stir a little and I looked down at her to see her put her head in my chest. I put the picture and the box down and pulled her closer to me. She looked up at me, smiling, and said, "Good morning, Chase."
"Good morning, Angel." I replied.
She looked at me with a confused expression. "Angel? Wheir did that come from?"
"I was looking at this picture," I showed her the picture, "and I realized that you looked like a little angel with your dress and your little pigtails."
She blushed at my explanation of her being an angel. She snuggled into my side to hide it and I laughed, pulling her into a sitting position. I could see a faint smile on her face as she looked back up at me.
"Let's change and go down stairs." I said, "What do you want to do today? After we visit your parents."
"Can we go shopping? I kinda need new clothes."
"Sure, we can do whatever you want. I'll just have to convince my parents to let us out of the house." I say the last part fast.
"Huh? I didn't get what you said at the end their."
"It was nothing. You don't have to worry about it. Come on, let's go."
Without waiting for her to reply, I pulled her up from the bed, grabbed her some clothes and pushed her onto the bathroom. I changed into some jeans and a regular grey T-shirt.
Sasha came out of the bathroom with a royal blue Sundress on. It looked nothing like the dress in the picture but it still looked cute with baby blue flowers on it.
"Are you ready?" I asked.
She nodded her head and replied, "Yeah, lets go." so we went down stairs. I pulled her towards the kitchen where I could hear my mom talking with my dad about something I don't care about.
"Hey Mom, Dad." I greeted.
"Good morning, son. Good morning Sasha. What are you guys doing today?" My mom asked.
"I was wondering of we could go shopping to get Sasha some new clothes?" I asked looking at my parents with my puppy dog face.
"I guess." My mom said, obviously falling for my face. My dad, on the other hand, was about to object to the idea, but the look my mother gave him made him say yes.
I smiled at my parents. "Thank you. I promise we'll be home around 8:30." And with that my parents left the kitchen mumbling something about 'going to your fathers study.'
I turned to Sasha and smiled. "What do you want for breakfast? We can have adobo omelets. I learned how to make it when we went to Hawaii."
"Ok. That sounds good."
I told her about the trip we took to Hawaii when I was younger and how we met a nice man at a place called 'K's drive-in' and how he taught me how to make Adobo and turn it into an omelet. I put two plates on the table and put the omelets on them.
I sat down on the chair across from her and said, "Dig in," as I picked up my fork and took a bite. I looked at Sasha and waited for her to say something while I was chewing.
"Wow! This is amazing Chase. Can we have this tomorrow?"
I laughed. "Sure we can. We just have to remember to buy eggs today."
"Kay." She said through bites of food.
