Aarav's POV
It's been a week since I started living with Krisha in her house. I talked to my mom yesterday and she said that it was upto me that how long I want to stay with her.
I miss my mom, but I still wanna spend my whole life with Krisha. It's like a pull towards her, a kind of connection.
My first crush ever..
'At the age of 6.. right!'
Arrghhh.. yess! Now, shut up!
Krisha has to go to the hospital for something important and she told me to be here like a good boy.
I will just find a book and some colours.
I started digging up the whole house but found nothing like a book. Suddenly something behind a frame caught my attention. I moved there and took it out but it was not a book but more like a file.
I opened it and my eyes widen.
Case file no.05
Patient's name: Aarav Singhal.
Age:- 28
Doctor's name: Krisha Arora.
Memory loss due to an accident.
Being kept in Krisha's home currently for the therapy to complete faster.
Krisha Arora... Krisha Arora... Krisha Arora... I know her. I feel like I know her.
'You definitely know her. Try to remember her. Please.'
I want to remember her too.
It's all so much to take in. I could not help but try to remember her but nothing. I just get these weird flashbacks of me screaming my lungs out, crying, sobbing while taking Krisha's name.
Do I know her?
Krisha's POV
I reached home as soon as I could. I had an emergency in the hospital. I opened the door and saw Aarav looking out from the window. I went up to him and put my arms on his shoulder.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"I saw my case file today." He said making my whole body numb.
"Why didn't you tell me that I was your patient? I know you. I see you in my flashbacks. It's you. But I cannot see it clearly. And I am not a child anymore. I know I am 28. I have to act mature." He continued.
"I am sorry. But you should go with the flow. It will heal you faster. Don't put any stress on your mind. You will get your memory back. I promise. Just co-operate." I said making him look at me with an unreadable expression.
"Ok then." He said.
"Well I ordered pizza for both of us. You like it right?" I asked and his eyes lit up.
Still a pizza lover.
"I love it. Thank you so much. You are the best." He said making my heart jump.
We ate pizza and went to sleep cuddling when suddenly he asked-
"Do I know you? As in like before this?" He asked.
"Yeah! You know me." I said sighing.
"Tell me about us."
"It's not the right time to have this conversation. Go to sleep little boy." I said kissing his cheeks and he blushed hard.
"You won't leave me right? If I get my memory back? You will be there right?" He asked making me speechless.
"I won't. I promise." I said making a fake promise because I know that he will hate me after getting his memory back.
He fell asleep while I could not think about anything but his question. I will not leave him. Right?
I don't know. I spent another hour thinking about 'us'. Just when I was drifting into my sweet slumber of sleep, I heard Aarav's breathing getting restless and faster. Like he was running for a long time.
I woke him up and patted his back as well as caressed his cheek.
"Don't worry. It's just a dream. I am right here." I kept repeating till his breathing was in control again.
"What happened?" I asked him.
"You were going somewhere far from me. And I couldn't not do anything to prevent you from leaving me. So I was running towards you. But you just disappeared." He told me his cute little dream and started crying.
"I told you, I won't go anywhere." I said making him smile.
"I love you." He said making my heart skip a beat.
"I love you too."
"I am serious Krisha. In my flashbacks, I kept repeating I love you but you didn't listen." He said and I tried my level best not to cry.
"We will talk about that later. Sleep now." I said and went back to sleep.
Little did I know that it was our last conversation before everything would be ruined.
