19:- Memories

Aarav's POV

I woke up only to find Krisha sleeping peacefully. I know she loves pancakes and decided to make it for her.

I get up from the bed carefully so that she doesn't wake up. She is just so cute that I can look at her all day without getting bored or tired but for now I have to go and make her breakfast.

I was quite excited. I am going to make breakfast for the very first time in my lifetime and that is also for my crush.

I know that for a 6 year old boy, it is impossible to make it perfectly but I will try for her and I will do anything to see her happy.

'You can't even have a glass of water by yourself and are going to make her breakfast. Very good!'

Yes! I will...you just wait and watch.

I was quite excited and went downstairs. I was getting down when suddenly I tripped and hit my head hard.

I screamed loudly and after that, everything went black....

Krisha's POV

I woke up with a loud thud and by hearing the scream of.... OH MY FREAKIN' GOD..!

Aarav...

I ran downstairs and found him lying on the ground unconscious. I went and kneeled down. I was crying heavily. I couldn't see him like this. I checked his pulse and called ambulance.

We reached hospital and he was put into the emergency room immediately. Being his doctor, I was allowed in that room. After about an hour, they said that he was out of danger.

I felt relieved...

I paid his bills and called his parents to come. I told them what happened and apologized for my mistake. They said that it was not my fault but deep inside they were hurt too.

They said that he would come in his senses as soon as to the effect of anaesthesia would be gone.

He was now shifted in another ward for patients and his parents were in there. I couldn't find the courage to go inside.

It is all my fault that he is hurt. I should have been more careful.

'It's okk.. he will be fine. Don't worry.'

His parents came out and told me that they have some business to take care of. They will come back later.

After they left, I walked inside and saw him lying on the hospital bed with so much machines connected to his body. His face was pale and his head was badly injured mainly the frontal part which was responsible for his memory.

I sat on the chair beside his bed and held his hand.

"I am so sorry." I said.

"I am sorry for leaving you at that time. I was just so much hurt that I didn't even listen to you. I am sorry for not being responsible enough today. It's my fault that you are lying here." I continued and some of my tears rolled down my cheek on his arm.

I was caressing his arms when suddenly I felt some kind of movement from him. I immediately pressed the emergency button and the doctor along with some nurses rushed inside.

They pushed me to the back and did their business as in like checking on him.

Just as I was about to turn, I heard a mumbled "Krisha.." from him.

I walked to him by pushing the nurses aside and took his hand in mine.

"I'm here only. Don't worry." I said and his eyes widened.

"You really are here. But how?" He said making me confuse.

"What do you mean by how? We are friends right?" I said.

"You hate me. You abandoned me and left me without even listening to me. You just like a coward ran away to God knows where." He said and my breathe got hitched.

'He has got his memory back. I see.'

Yeah! Let's face it. It was my fault and I have to pay.

"Ten years is a very long time Krisha. At first I was sorry. I tried to explain you whatever happened. That it was just a misunderstanding created by April between us but you just didn't listen and walked away without leaving me any clue. I was devastated, hurt and furious at the same time. I tried to find you everywhere. But see here you are, in the whole other side of the world." He said and now I was crying.

"I hate you now. Just go away from me and my life. In these ten years, I learned to live without you. I don't need you anymore in my life." He said and pushed my hand away from him.

"I am so sorry but I was so much hurt at that time. I couldn't properly think about what to do and not to do." I said crying.

"Just go away." He said and I nodded.

I left him again. I didn't try to fight for us again.

I really am a coward...
