I half expected Crowley to put on his pants, give me some excuse about leaving the oven on, and leaving. But instead, he laid next to me on the couch, wrapping one arm around my waist. Leaning my head back against his chest, I closed my eyes as I listened to the steady beating of his heart.
It had been close to three hundred years since I had this kind of contact with another person. I had forgotten how uncomplicated and nice it could be. We laid like that for over an hour before either one of us moved.
"Crowley?" I murmured, finally breaking the silence. I rolled over to face him, finding his yellow serpentine eyes looking into my own (E/C) ones.
"Hm?" He said with a lazy smile.
"What are we?" I asked, trailing a finger down his bicep.
Crowley looked thoughtful for a second before replying, "What do you want us to be?"
"Well, we obviously like one another," I said slowly, "I...I want us to be together." Crowley kissed my forehead, arm wrapping around me tighter.
"Then that settles it," He chuckled, "Together." I smiled, curling back up against him, feeling happier than I had been in a long time.
