We faded back to the island....Raymond was clutching my arms and gazing into my eyes.I didn't know what to believe..
"I need some time to think"I thought .
"I understand"I heard my subconscious say..
"Get out of my head.."I screamed.
He let go of my arms..
"Sorry hon.....come inside ..."
We went into the house....it was more of a mansion..now that I wasn't running away from it.It was an old house having the look of ancient times.
Raymond caught me admiring it
"This island was our family getaway.....now its my fortress....Jeff took everything away from me "For the first time I saw pain on his face...no more stonefaced....vulnerable..Somehow I wanted to believe him, but that would mean that aunt Helga is evil......Is she???
I took his hands into mine...he looked at me and smiled weakly....
We stood there in silence for some beautiful moments..just holding hands
"I shouldn't bother you. why don't you join me for dinner.."he
said ending it.
We entered a huge dining hall.He pulled a chair for me to sit and sat next to me.We had dinner in silence ...it started to creep me out so I broke it...
"So why does this affinity make me so special???"
He hesitated.....then said
"Well ,one because you are royalty and second because you're my weakness"
"Huh???"
"Well let me explain it .....every affinity has a weakness to some other kind of affinity...well you are mine..and because Jeff has the powers of both my parents....he is vulnerable too"
"Oh......that means..."
"You can kill us both!!!."
